Samsung, SK magic Collaborate To Offer Rental Plans For Premium Laundry Appliances
Author Avatar

Samsung Malaysia said that it is once again collaborating with South Korean home appliance company, SK magic, to offer more affordable rental plans that let Malaysian households try out its products before committing to a purchase – this time for premium laundry home appliances.

In its statement, Samsung said that the rental plans will allow Malaysians to rent and test out its Front Load Washer with EcoBubble, as well as the Heat Pump Dryer starting from just RM99 per month (per appliance).

The Samsung Front Load Washer has a capacity of 10kg, and is integrated with EcoBubble and QuickDrive technology. It is said to enhance the effectiveness of detergent used (even in cold water), reduce the time taken for each wash cycle by up to 50%, and save up to 20% energy than conventional washers in the market.

Meanwhile, the Samsung Heat Pump Dryer is equipped with the latest heat pump, Digital Inverter, and AI Dry technology to provide a more energy-efficient and cost-effective way to dry clothes without harming the material. With an energy rating of A+++, it also seeks to reduce its overall run cost and carbon footprint.

Aside from the washer and the dryer, the rental plans come with a five-year free warranty, as well as maintenance services from SK magic. Specifically, SK magic will provide both major and minor maintenance services in 6-month and 18-month cycles – including full interior drum disinfection, as well as exterior cleaning.

If you’d like to rent both the washer and dryer, there’s actually a discounted combo price that you can tap into, starting from RM198 per month. SK magic’s five-year warranty and maintenance services will also be provided for these combo plans.

On top of that, those who go on to purchase the Samsung Front Load Washer and Heat Pump Dryer through the rental scheme will receive further exclusive combo discount, on top of 0% rental processing fee. They can also enjoy an extended product warranty for another five years.

The president of Samsung Malaysia Electronics, Edward Han said that this partnership will enable the company to provide top-notch service to Malaysians in the years to come.

Managing director of SK magic Malaysia, Andy Kim also shared a similar sentiment. “We at SK magic are aligned with Samsung’s mission to provide Malaysians an elevated living through advanced technological-equipped products with worry-free service and rental plans to ease financial burdens,” he added.

Prior to this recent partnership, Samsung Malaysia and SK magic had also joined forces back in October 2022 to offer rental plans for Samsung’s WindFree Air Conditioner. Aside from Samsung, SK magic collaborates with other brands to allow the rental of water and air purifiers as well.
