TikTok Shop has introduced lower seller commission fees, shipping rebates and discounts on essential goods through a new cost-of-living relief initiative in collaboration with the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN). The initiative was launched on 30 June during Pesta #JomLokal.

If you regularly shop for groceries on TikTok Shop, you can enjoy up to 30% off discount vouchers on selected daily essentials through the online Program Jualan Ihsan Rahmah. TikTok Shop is the first e-commerce platform to host the online programme with participating #JomLokal grocers, including Hero Market and Kedai FGV. Additional savings are also available when you check out using TikTok Pay.

TikTok Shop is investing RM180 million in the initiative, which includes expanded seller fee waivers, reduced commission fees and shipping rebates.

For sellers, the platform has expanded its 0% commission fee waiver to five additional essential goods sub-categories, bringing the total number of eligible sub-categories to 56. The newly added categories include milk, powdered milk, yoghurt and fermented dairy products. Seller commission fees across another 39 essential goods sub-categories have also been reduced by between 0.5 and 9.1 percentage points.

TikTok Shop is also providing sellers with a RM2 rebate for every order shipped nationwide to help lower delivery costs.

The company said the initiative is part of its collaboration with KPDN to help ease the cost of living while supporting local businesses and strengthening domestic trade. It also complements KPDN’s on-ground Jualan Rahmah programme through Pesta #JomLokal.
