You can now subscribe to Instagram Plus, WhatsApp Plus, and Facebook Plus, Meta’s new paid add-ons for its three main apps.
WhatsApp Plus costs RM3.50 a month, while Instagram Plus and Facebook Plus cost RM4.50 each. Subscribing to all three comes to RM12.50 a month. Meta is also offering introductory promotions, with one month free for WhatsApp Plus and 55% off the first two months of Instagram Plus.
The subscriptions don’t replace the free versions of the apps. If you don’t subscribe, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Facebook continue to work as they do today.
Instagram Plus includes eleven extra features centred on Stories and profile customisation, while WhatsApp Plus and Facebook Plus each include six.
With Instagram Plus, you can see how many times someone replayed a Story and search whether a specific person viewed it. Stories can also be extended to 48 hours instead of the usual 24, and you can create unlimited audience lists for sharing them selectively. On top of that, there’s a custom app icon, customisable bio fonts, and the option to pin up to six posts on your profile.
WhatsApp Plus focuses on personalisation, giving you exclusive sticker packs, new themes and app icons, custom ringtones, you can pin up to 20 chats instead of three, and Chat Lists for organising conversations.
Facebook Plus brings several of Instagram Plus’ Story features across to Facebook and Messenger, including Story rewatch insights, viewer search, Story preview, a 48-hour Story extension, a custom app icon, and animated reactions on friends’ Stories.
The table below shows the monthly price, number of features, and current promotions for each subscription.
| Plan | Monthly Price | Number Of Features | Current Promotion |
| Instagram Plus | RM4.50 | 11 | 55% off for the first two months |
| WhatsApp Plus | RM3.50 | 6 | First month free |
| Facebook Plus | RM4.50 | 6 | Not Applicable |
If you run a page, sell things online, or just want to know who’s actually watching your Stories, the rewatch insights and viewer search on Instagram Plus are worth paying for. With WhatsApp Plus and Facebook Plus, you’re mostly paying for a new icon, a theme, and a few extra pinned chats, nothing that changes how you use the app.
Meta Verified, Meta’s existing paid verification and account protection service, is billed separately from any Plus plan. Stack all three Plus plans on top of it and you’re paying for four separate subscriptions a month.
