50% Toll Discount For Raya Travel On 18 And 19 March
Author Avatar

Highway toll costs will be lower for two days during the Raya travel period, as the government introduces a temporary discount for private vehicles heading balik kampung.

A 50% toll discount will apply nationwide from 12.01am on 18 March 2026 until 11.59pm on 19 March 2026, covering the main travel window before Hari Raya.

Discount Applies To Most Highways

The discount is available for Class 1 private vehicles, which includes most cars used for personal travel.

It applies across all highways nationwide, except at the Bangunan Sultan Iskandar (BSI) toll and Tanjung Kupang toll at the Malaysia-Singapore Second Link.

No Action Needed From Drivers

The discount will be applied automatically at toll plazas during the specified period.

Drivers can pass through as usual, with toll charges reduced by half during the two-day window.

What This Means For Raya Travel

For those planning to drive home during this period, toll costs will be lower, especially for longer journeys that pass through multiple highways.

The discount does not affect fuel or other travel expenses, but it reduces one of the more predictable costs of balik kampung travel.
