ASM 3 Declares RM896 Million Income Distribution For FY2025
Author Avatar

Amanah Saham Nasional Berhad (ASNB), the wholly owned unit trust management company of Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB), has announced the income distribution for its fixed price fund, Amanah Saham Malaysia 3 (ASM 3), for the financial year ending 30 September 2025.

ASM 3 declared a total income distribution of RM896.01 million, benefitting 717,446 unitholders who collectively own 19.16 billion units. This translates to a distribution of 4.75 sen per unit, maintaining the same rate as the previous financial year.

Outperformance Against Benchmark Returns

The fund’s distribution reflects its resilience and stability, especially when compared with the Maybank 12-Month Fixed Deposit benchmark return of 2.40%. ASM 3 outperformed this benchmark by 235 basis points for the financial year to date up to 24 September 2025.

This steady performance came at a time when the Bursa Malaysia index (FBM KLCI) remained negative year-to-date, showing that the fund was able to withstand challenging market conditions.

Income Derived From Diversified Sources

The income distribution was generated from realised gains, dividend income, and other sources of revenue from both domestic and international investments.

ASM 3’s performance was supported by a disciplined investment approach and diversified asset allocation. Increased exposure to fixed income instruments provided stability and steady returns, while strategic investments in global markets enhanced portfolio growth by capturing opportunities beyond Malaysia.

Reinvestment Of Income Distribution

Income distribution for ASM 3 is calculated based on the average minimum monthly balance in a unitholder’s account throughout the financial year.

The declared distribution will be automatically reinvested as additional units into unitholders’ accounts on 1 October 2025, allowing investors to grow their holdings without taking additional action.

Temporary Suspension Of Transactions

Transactions for ASM 3 were paused from 28 to 30 September 2025 while the income distribution was processed.

From 1 October 2025 onwards, unitholders can carry out transactions again through the myASNB portal, the myASNB mobile app, ASNB branches, or authorised agents nationwide.
