Bank Simpanan Nasional has introduced a limited-time credit card campaign that rewards cardholders for festive spending with Happy Points. The campaign runs in early 2026 and is open to eligible BSN credit cardholders who meet the required spending levels during the campaign period.
For cardholders who already use their credit cards for everyday purchases, the campaign offers added value without requiring any registration.
Campaign Reward Structure
The campaign offers two reward tiers based on cumulative spending during the campaign period. Cardholders who spend RM2,888 may qualify to receive 88,888 Happy Points, with rewards available for up to 50 cardholders.
A second tier rewards cardholders who spend RM1,888 with 28,888 Happy Points. Up to 350 cardholders may receive rewards under this tier. Each eligible cardholder can receive only one reward, with the higher tier applied if both spending thresholds are met.
Campaign Period And Automatic Participation
The campaign runs from 20 January 2026 to 28 February 2026, unless otherwise stated by BSN. Participation is automatic, and no sign-up is required, as long as cardholders meet the eligibility requirements and spend within the campaign period.
Transactions made outside the campaign period, or those that are incomplete or invalid, are not counted.
Who Is Eligible To Take Part
The campaign is open to principal BSN credit cardholders only. Supplementary cardholders, debit card users, corporate cardholders, and cardholders with suspended, delinquent, or invalid accounts are not eligible.
BSN retains the right to determine eligibility and revise participation criteria during the campaign, in line with the stated terms.
What Counts As Eligible Spending
Only retail purchases for personal use made using BSN credit cards count towards qualifying spend. Certain transactions, including cash advances, instalment payments, government charges, prepaid reloads, gambling-related transactions, refunds, and disputed charges, are excluded.
Spending by supplementary cardholders is combined with the principal cardholder’s spending for the purpose of meeting the qualifying threshold, but rewards are credited only to the principal cardholder.
How Rewards Are Credited
Happy Points are credited directly to the principal cardholder’s credit card account. For cardholders using a BSN Visa Cash Back Card, rewards are credited as cash back at an equivalent value.
If a cardholder holds both a BSN Visa Cash Back Card and other BSN credit cards, rewards are credited in the form of Happy Points.
Winner Selection And Announcement Timeline
Winners are determined based on who meets the qualifying spending requirement first during the campaign period. The list of winners is expected to be announced within 16 weeks after the campaign ends.
Winner details may be published on BSN’s official channels as part of the announcement process.
Account Standing And Post-Campaign Adjustments
Cardholder accounts must remain valid and in good standing until rewards are credited. If qualifying transactions are later cancelled or reversed, BSN may reverse the rewards, with adjustments reflected in the monthly statement.
BSN also reserves the right to disqualify participants who breach campaign terms or engage in improper activity.
Using Everyday Spending To Earn More Value
For cardholders who already use their BSN credit cards for routine expenses, the campaign provides a straightforward way to earn rewards without changing spending habits. Planning purchases within the campaign period and being mindful of excluded transactions can help ensure eligible spending is counted correctly.
Keeping the credit card account in good standing throughout the campaign also helps avoid delays or reversals when rewards are credited.
