CelcomDigi has launched SafePAY Jr, a child-focused prepaid card and money management subscription designed to help parents guide their children in managing money safely. The service is available to eligible CelcomDigi postpaid customers.
SafePAY Jr provides children with their own Visa prepaid card, while parents retain oversight through spending controls and real-time monitoring.
SafePAY Jr is a subscription-based add-on offered by CelcomDigi in partnership with Vircle. The service allows parents to issue a Vircle Visa Prepaid Card linked to a child account under the parent’s postpaid line.
Parents manage the account through the Vircle app, where they can monitor transactions, set spending limits, and oversee how money is used under parental supervision.
The service is available to CelcomDigi postpaid customers on supported plans launched from 2021 onwards. Each mobile number can hold one SafePAY Jr subscription, which includes one child account.
Customers who wish to add another child must subscribe to a separate SafePAY Jr plan using a different postpaid number. An active postpaid line is required at all times, as suspended or barred accounts are not eligible.
SafePAY Jr is priced at RM8 per month, excluding the 6% Sales and Service Tax. The subscription renews automatically on a monthly basis after activation.
First-time subscribers who sign up between 16 December 2025 and 31 March 2026 are eligible for a promotional rate of RM1 for the first month. From the second month onwards, the standard monthly fee applies.
A one-time processing fee of RM10 is charged to the customer’s postpaid bill during sign-up.
The monthly subscription fee is billed only after the Vircle Visa Prepaid Card has been activated through the Vircle app.
CelcomDigi recommends activating the card before 31 March 2026 in order to enjoy the promotional pricing period.
SafePAY Jr includes features that allow parents to oversee spending while encouraging responsible money habits. Parents receive real-time transaction notifications and can set spending limits by amount, time period, or category.
The service also supports task-based rewards and savings goals, allowing parents to link money to chores or learning milestones within the app.
The Vircle Visa Prepaid Card can be used anywhere Visa is accepted, both in Malaysia and overseas. This includes online purchases, in-store payments, and cash withdrawals at Visa-supported ATMs, subject to parental controls.
Customers can subscribe to SafePAY Jr through the CelcomDigi app or online store. After successful sign-up, the Vircle Visa Prepaid Card is delivered within five business days.
Activation is completed through the Vircle app, where parents link the child account, verify identity, and set an ATM PIN. Once activated, the subscription fee is charged on a monthly basis.
If a subscription renewal fails, the SafePAY Jr service is automatically terminated and the Vircle card can no longer be used for transactions.
Customers who wish to rejoin after termination must subscribe again and pay a new RM10 processing fee. Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time through the CelcomDigi app, which stops future renewals but does not refund fees already charged.
