The Ministry of Finance (MOF) began paying Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR) Phase 4 on 4 November, with RM1.1 billion going to 5.4 million recipients. Existing recipients are paid in stages until 6 November so your money may arrive on different days.
Bank account holders receive their payment by direct credit. Anyone without an account can collect cash at a Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) branch. New recipients and approved appeals are paid from 16 November.
If your money hasn’t arrived by 6 November, you can check your payment status and read the FAQs on the official STR portal. MOF warns about fake links and scams, so use only this portal.
Households with a monthly income of RM5,000 or below can receive up to RM500, and elderly people without a spouse receive RM150.
Of the 5.4 million recipients, 4 million are households and 1.4 million are seniors.
To keep getting STR in 2027, make sure your details are up to date on MySTR before the end of November. This matters most for recipients whose details have changed or who haven’t updated in three years, because the update means your application is assessed for Phase 1 of STR 2027.
If nothing has changed and you updated within the last three years, you don’t need to do anything. Accurate details matter, because the government can withdraw STR aid if an application contains false or misleading information.
