Updated: 4 September 2025

The Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) Fair is back, and it’s the  best opportunity to lock in amazing deals for your upcoming holidays. More than just a travel exhibition, it’s Malaysia’s largest travel marketplace where airlines, hotels, and tour agencies offer exclusive promotions all under one roof.

Whether you’re planning a year-end getaway, a Christmas trip, or even booking ahead for Chinese New Year 2026, this is the place to be. The fair is happening from 5 to 7 September 2025 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), Kuala Lumpur, with doors open from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM daily and free admission for all visitors.

We’ve highlighted some of the headliner deals from major exhibitors to give you an idea of the savings you can expect.

Malaysia Airlines Flight Deals

As the Official Airline Partner, Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) is offering significant discounts for Malaysia Airlines and Firefly. Look out for up to 30% off on both Economy and Business Class fares for travel until 31 August 2026.

Even better, if you are an Enrich member, you get early access to the deals during the Enrich Priority Sale on 2-3 September 2025. During this pre-sale, you’ll receive an additional 5% discount on top of the promotional fares. Signing up for an Enrich membership is free, so it’s worth doing before the fair to unlock the maximum discount.

Keep an eye out for their advertised all-in return fares, which start from as low as RM119 for domestic flights and RM419 for international destinations.

Resorts World Genting Accommodation Offers

For local getaways, Resorts World Genting (RWG) is known for its deeply discounted room rates. You can find savings of up to 82% on hotel stays. For example, a Standard Room at the First World Hotel is being offered at just RM80 per night, down from its usual price of RM453.

RWG is also bundling these deals with theme park tickets. A combo package for one-day entry to both Genting SkyWorlds Theme Park and Skytropolis Indoor Theme Park is available from RM100 for MyKad holders.

Unlock Bigger Savings With Your Credit Card

  1. RHB Bank: Platinum Sponsor Perks

As the Exclusive Platinum Sponsor, RHB Bank has a wide range of offers for its cardholders. You could get a discount of up to RM1,500 on flight and hotel bookings made with RHB Visa Cards/-i at their partner travel agents. For big-ticket purchases, you can also take advantage of a 0% Instalment Payment Plan to manage your cash flow.

RHB will also be promoting its Multi-Currency Visa Debit Card/-i. This card lets you spend in 34 different currencies without incurring foreign exchange conversion fees on supported currencies, making it a great tool for your international trips. You can apply for the card at their booths and get an instant RM20 cashback upon approval with a qualifying deposit.

  1. Maybank: Spend and Win Big

Maybank is running a Spend & Win campaign with impressive prizes, including pairs of Business Class return tickets to Paris, London, and Auckland, plus 100 Bonus Prizes of RM1,000 cashback. To earn entries, you need to spend a minimum of RM1,000 in a single transaction at participating travel agents, hotels, or airlines.

Here’s a smart tip to increase your chances: use the Maybank 0% EzyPay/-i instalment plan. For every RM1,000 spent, you get one entry. Top Tip:, if you use the EzyPay plan, you get an additional two entries. This means a RM5,000 purchase on EzyPay gets you 15 entries instead of just 5, tripling your chances of winning at no extra cost.

Maybank is also offering on-the-spot rebates at the Holiday Tours booth. The first 200 customers spending a minimum of RM5,000 with any Maybank card will receive an instant RM500 rebate.

  1. AmBank & Malaysia Airlines: Earn More Enrich Points

If you collect airline miles, this partnership is your dream.. AmBank Enrich Visa Credit cardholders will earn 3x Bonus Enrich Points on all Malaysia Airlines flight bookings made during the fair.

You can practise “deal stacking” to maximise your value. For example, you could:

  1. Get the up-to-30% MATTA Fair discount on a Malaysia Airlines flight.
  2. Get an extra 5% off by booking during the Enrich Priority Sale.
  3. Pay with your AmBank Enrich Visa Credit Card to earn 3x Bonus Enrich Points on the final discounted price.
4. CIMB, Public Bank, and Other Cards

Don’t worry if you don’t have a card from the main sponsors. Many banks have year-round travel promotions that you can use at the fair.

  • CIMB: You may find ongoing deals like up to 50% off on all flights with Mastercard.
  • Public Bank: Take advantage of the 0% interest “Fly Now, Pay Later” instalment plan for Malaysia Airlines bookings to spread out your payments.
5. NEW! Affin Bank: Earn 20x Rewards Points on Travel Spending

Affin Bank is running a “20X AFFIN Rewards Points Campaign” exclusively during the MATTA Fair weekend, from 5 to 7 September 2025. Cardholders who make a cumulative spend of RM3,000 on eligible travel transactions—including airline tickets, hotels, and travel packages—will earn 20 times the Rewards Points. This is an excellent opportunity to significantly boost your points balance, as a spend of RM3,000 could earn you a total of 60,000 AFFIN Rewards Points.

The total bonus points for this campaign are capped at 20 million Rewards Points and are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, so it pays to be early. In addition to this MATTA Fair special, Affin cardholders can also benefit from other ongoing merchant deals, such as discounts at Agoda, Berjaya Hotels, and a 1-for-1 Business Class ticket offer.

Smart Traveller’s Game Plan

A little preparation goes a long way in navigating the fair and finding the best value. Follow these simple steps for a successful visit.

Before You Go
  1. Do Your Research: Have a clear idea of where you want to go and what your budget is. Many exhibitors release sneak peeks of their deals online before the fair, so check their websites and social media.
  2. Set a Budget: It’s easy to get carried away. Decide on a firm budget beforehand to avoid overspending on impulse deals.
  3. Check Your Passport: Make sure your passport has at least six months of validity from your planned return date. This is a non-negotiable requirement for most countries.
At the Fair
  1. Arrive Early: The best deals are often in limited quantities. Arriving early, especially on Friday, gives you a better chance of securing them.
  2. Negotiate for Group Bookings: If you are booking a tour package for a group, don’t be afraid to ask for a better deal or freebies like complimentary travel insurance.
  3. Read the Fine Print: Always ask about blackout dates, cancellation policies, and exactly what is included in the package price before you pay.

The Final Check: Compare with Online Travel Fairs

To ensure you are getting the absolute best price, remember to compare the on-ground offers with online travel fairs. The Traveloka Travel Fair, for example, is running at the same time (25 August to 14 September 2025) and also has its own set of bank promotions.

Use your visit to the MATTA Fair to gather information, consult with experts, and find potential deals. But before you swipe your card, take a moment to cross-reference the price on an online platform like Traveloka using your smartphone. This final check guarantees you’re booking your holiday at the best possible price, whether it’s at MITEC or on an app.

More deals may be coming your way. Stay tuned!
