Maybank EzyCash/-i Campaign Offers Waiver On One-Time Upfront Fee For All Plans
Author Avatar

Maybank is currently running an EzyCash/-i promo campaign, where you can get a cash advance from your credit card’s available balance and enjoy a waiver on the one-time upfront fee of all repayment plans. This is on top of the existing interest rates and management fees that start from 0%, applicable to selected repayment plans.

Typically, Maybank customers who tap into Maybank’s EzyCash/-i feature will be allowed to choose from five repayment plans/tenure – 6 months, 12 months, 18 months, 24 months, and 36 months – each of which will incur a one-time upfront fee and its own interest rate/management fee. In the case of the 6-month plan, you get to enjoy 0% interest rate, with a one-time upfront fee of 3.88% on the approved amount. Meanwhile, all the other plans will be charged a standard 8.88% interest rate, and an upfront fee of RM100 per approved transaction.

This campaign essentially waives off the one-time upfront fee of 3.88% on the approved amount (for the 6-month plan), or RM100 per approved transaction (for all other plans) – which means you can actually get a cash advance at no charge if you opt for the 6-month plan, specifically. Here’s a table to quickly summarise this offer for your convenience:

Note that the minimum loan amount for Maybank’s EzyCash/-i feature is set at RM2,000, and you can withdraw up to 70% of your available credit card limit. The amount will be credited into your individual/personal account immediately upon the approval of your application (joint accounts are not allowed).

You can apply for this promo online via the Maybank2u website; here are the steps to take:

  • Logging into your Maybank2u account, go to “Cards” and select a credit card that you want to get cash from.
  • Select “More Details” on the top right of the “Cards” column and click on “Apply EzyCash”.
  • Select the card that you’d like to transfer from, the savings account to transfer to, and the EzyCash/-i amount that you want.
  • Select your preferred EzyCash/-i repayment plan, then accept the terms and conditions.
  • Click on “Submit”, verify your application details, and authorise via Secure2u.

If you do take up this offer, remember to always repay the monthly instalment amount in full and on time, or you will be hit with the normal finance charge of 18% p.a. on the unpaid amount, from the due date until the instalment is paid in full. On the other hand, there is no penalty for early settlement, if you wish to do so.

This Maybank EzyCash/-i offer is already ongoing, and will run until 31 December 2023.
