TNG Digital is introducing TapSecure as a security enhancement for TNG eWallet Visa Card transactions. From 14 March 2025, this feature will replace SMS-based one-time passwords, allowing users to approve transactions directly through the TNG eWallet app.

TapSecure is designed to reduce reliance on SMS OTPs and minimise risks associated with phishing and unauthorised access. Transactions can be approved with a single tap, offering a more streamlined process. By integrating this feature within the eWallet app, users can manage approvals without needing additional verification methods.

To use TapSecure, users must initiate a transaction with their TNG eWallet Visa Card. A prompt will then appear in the TNG eWallet app, allowing them to approve the payment. To ensure uninterrupted access to this feature, users should enable notifications on their devices. Those who have opted out of notifications will need to reactivate them in their phone settings.

This update aligns with ongoing efforts to enhance payment security and provide a more seamless user experience. By integrating TapSecure, the aim is to support secure and efficient digital transactions within the eWallet ecosystem.
