Touch ‘n Go (TNG) eWallet has introduced a new travel eSIM service, offering roaming access across 149 countries, including Japan, South Korea, China, and Singapore.

For those unfamiliar with the technology, eSIMs are a digital version of traditional SIM cards, integrated directly into compatible smartphones. Unlike physical SIM cards, they eliminate the need to swap cards when switching to a roaming network or activating a new mobile plan, making them a more convenient and seamless solution for travellers.

This new feature, available through the TNG eWallet app, is designed to provide users with hassle-free connectivity while travelling, helping them avoid unexpected roaming charges. To subscribe, users simply tap the “More” button on the app’s home screen, navigate to the “GOtravel” section, and select “Travel eSIM”. From there, they can choose their destination and select a data plan that best suits their needs.

For those visiting multiple countries in a single trip, the service also offers multi-country roaming plans, with validity periods ranging from seven days to an entire month.

Before activating the service, users should check the list of supported devices in the TNG eWallet app to ensure their smartphone is compatible with the eSIM feature.
