Apple has unveiled its latest iPhone 13 series, with four new models: iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max. Interestingly, the official Malaysian pricing has also been revealed, and the devices will be available for pre-order on Apple’s online store starting from 1 October 2021 (and officially available from 8 October).

The new iPhone 13 series features the upgraded A15 Bionic chip, which is an improvement from the A14 chip that powers the iPhone 12 models. Other than that, the other two major enhancements are to the display and the camera systems. The Super Retina XDR displays on the Pro models feature ProMotion technology, offering variable refresh rates of up to 120Hz, which has been a common feature on Android flagships. Meanwhile, the entire iPhone 13 range feature new camera sensors and interesting software tech such as Macro mode and Cinematic mode for video.

In terms of storage, all four models now come with a 128GB base storage; previous generations of iPhone mini and standard iPhone only had a base storage of 64GB. From there, customers can then upgrade to a storage of 256GB, 512GB, or even 1TB (only for iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max).

Of the four models, the iPhone mini comes across as the most affordable with a starting price of RM3,399, whereas the standard iPhone 13 begins at RM3,899. These two models come in five different colours, namely Pink, Blue, Midnight, Starlight, and Red.

Meanwhile, the starting price of iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max are set at RM4,899 and RM5,299, respectively. These two models are offered in Sierra Blue, Silver, Gold, and Graphite.

Here’s the full pricing list for all the models of the iPhone 13 series:

While pre-orders on the Apple online store will be open starting from 1 October 2021, you may also want to keep an eye out for the package deals that may be offered by popular local telcos. These may come with certain rebates or add-on packages that could add further value to your purchase.
