Recently, the Refinitiv Lipper Fund Awards 2021 has announced the winning funds in the Malaysian market. For those who are unfamiliar with the Refinitiv Lipper Fund Awards, for over 30 years and across 17 countries worldwide, these awards are an acclaimed industry achievement given to honour funds and fund management firms that have proven their reputation as outperformers.

Using Refinitiv’s — one of the largest financial market data providers in the world-renowned independent fund data and proprietary methodology, the awards measure risk-adjusted performance relative to peers for the most accurate and unbiased assessment.

To that, UOB Asset Management (Malaysia) Berhad has won three Refinitiv Lipper Fund Awards this year, namely the Best Equity Asean (Malaysia) (won by United Asean Discovery Fund) in the three-year category, Best Mixed Asset MYR Balanced — Global (Malaysia) in the five-year category (won by United Bond & Equity Strategic Trust), and Best Mixed Asset MYR Conservative in the three-year category for the second consecutive year (won by United Income Plus Fund).
