Malaysia is positioning itself as a center for green technology and product innovation by hosting the 16th International Greentech & Eco Products Exhibition & Conference Malaysia (IGEM 2025) from October 15 to 17 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC).
According to Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability, Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, the event themed “Race Towards Net Zero: Inclusivity and Sustainability” aims to generate RM5.5 billion in business leads, with over 50,000 participants from more than 50 countries, including China, Sweden, Singapore, South Korea, Japan and Thailand.
To enhance sales and discussions, a new event by the name of Kuala Lumpur Sustainability Summit (KLSS) will run alongside IGEM from Oct 14-16, bringing green-thought leaders together to address climate change and sustainability.

“Sustainability is no longer an option but an urgent necessity, and our actions today will shape the future we leave for future generations,” Nik said in his speech at IGEM soft launch today, as quoted by The Star.
Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) Chief Executive Officer Datuk Sikh Shamsul Ibrahim Sikh Abdul Majid also supports IGEM’s role in regional green development.
“IGEM’s investment leads have steadily increased from RM3.08bil in 2020 to RM6.3bil in 2024, which demonstrates the increasing confidence in Malaysia’s green economy,” Sikh said.
