Malaysia Airline’s (MAS) loyalty programme Enrich is currently running a campaign where active Enrich members can fast-track their Elite status to Silver or Gold by using their Enrich Points to top up their EnrichMoney Points. The promo, which is already ongoing, is set to run until 31 July 2023.
As indicated in the campaign landing page, Enrich members who convert a minimum cumulative amount of 40,000 Enrich Points to top up their EnrichMoney Points during the campaign period will be able to upgrade their Elite status to the Silver tier, whereas those who convert 80,000 Enrich Points can unlock the Gold tier. Note that the conversion rate between Enrich Points to EnrichMoney Points stands at 1:1 (1x Enrich Point is equivalent to 1x EnrichMoney Point).
By unlocking the Silver or Gold tiers, you’ll be able to enjoy selected travel benefits, such as priority services at check-in and boarding, as well as access to Malaysia Airlines Golden Lounge. Additionally, you’ll be able to earn up to 2x Enrich Points for every RM1 that you spend on Malaysia Airlines, depending on your tier:
While participating in the campaign, do also be aware that members can only convert and top up a maximum of 50,000 EnrichMoney Points per top-up transaction. Additionally, there is a daily conversion/top-up limit of 100,000 EnrichMoney Points. So if you’re aiming to unlock the Gold status, for instance, then you’ll have to carry out at least two top-up transactions (50,000 EnrichMoney Points + 30,000 EnrichMoney Points).
Note as well that although the converted EnrichMoney Points will be immediately reflected in your EnrichMoney Points balance upon successful transaction, your new Enrich Elite status will only be awarded within 14 days after the end of the campaign period – valid until 31 December 2024. Your Enrich Elite card will also be delivered to your registered address within 14 working days. Meanwhile, the converted EnrichMoney Points will have a validity of one year from the earned date, so remember to use them before it expires!
Finally, Enrich clarified that if the Elite status that you’re entitled to via this top-up campaign is the same as your current Elite tier, then your status will remain unchanged and there will be no upgrade to the next higher status. So for instance, if you are currently already an Enrich member with a Silver Elite status, then you will not be upgraded to the next level (Gold) by converting another 40,000 Enrich Points to top up your EnrichMoney Points. Instead, you will only be able to extend and retain your Silver status (for one year).
For those who are unfamiliar, EnrichMoney is a new product from MAS that was rolled out early this year in collaboration with Merchantrade and Visa. It is comprised of a Visa prepaid card and a digital money app – both of which are expected to benefit frequent travellers with features such as the multi-currency wallet. In addition to that, it also users earn EnrichMoney Points when they perform transactions using their prepaid card. The Points earned can then be used to redeem cashback for a purchase post-transaction.
If you’re not yet an EnrichMoney user, there’s currently a sign-up promo that you can also tap into now – which lets you get welcome gifts in the form of 1,000 bonus Enrich Points and a complimentary Golden Lounge e-voucher. You can download EnrichMoney for free from Google Play and the AppStore.

What exactly does this mean “The Points earned can then be used to redeem cashback for a purchase post-transaction.”?
Is it the case of if you spent RM1000, paid for via the Enrich Money Visa card, the RM1000 spent may be redeemed through your EnrichMoney points conversion and turned into cash ( cashback) in your wallet?!
I’ve also been searching high and low and it seems that no one has been able to answer this Q till now. Even on Malaysia Airline’s website there is no clarification on this.
