Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) is offering low fares and discounted travel packages for fully vaccinated travellers via its subsidiaries – Malaysia Airlines (MAS), Firefly, and MHholidays – following the reopening of Langkawi on 16 September 2021. Bookings can be made between today until 30 September 2021, for travel from 16 September to 31 October.
Under MAS, which operates from KLIA, passengers can opt for either the Economy Lite or Economy Flex fare, depending on their travel preferences. Those who prefer to travel light can go for Economy Lite, with ticket prices going from as low as RM89 for an all-in one way flight. They will be provided with a cabin baggage allowance of 7kg, complimentary food and beverages, and inflight entertainment. This is on top of the opportunity to earn a bonus of 50% Enrich Points.
Those who are looking for priority services and added benefits, on the other hand, can go for Economy Flex at a higher fee. The additional charge will entitle you to more flexibilities, such as unlimited free date changes, free refunds, Go Show flexibility, priority check-in, and a baggage allowance of 35kg.
Meanwhile, Firefly offers attractive deals from as low as RM19 from Penang to Langkawi, and RM69 from Subang to Langkawi. The flight includes baggage allowance of 20kg and complimentary refreshments, as well as RM50 discount as an incentive for fully vaccinated individuals.
Note that seats are limited with MAS offering 28x weekly services between Langkawi and KLIA, and Firefly 10x weekly services from Subang Airport.
Aside from flight ticket promotions, MAG has also rolled out a combo promo of 50% off on flight tickets and hotel packages via its tour operating arm, MHholidays. Travellers tapping into this package promo can choose from several 4 and 5-star hotels, including The Datai Langkawi, Berjaya Langkawi Resort, Pelangi Beach Resort and Spa, as well as Vivanta Langkawi (Rebak Island). In addition to the package discount, there are even exclusive hotel offers available. For instance, travellers booking with Vivanta Langkawi (Rebak Island) can enjoy a guaranteed room upgrade.
In announcing these offers, MAG also reminded customers that its Fly Confidently campaign remains in full swing to ensure that customers’ and employees’ safety are protected at all times. It defines fully vaccinated individuals as those who have completed all the required doses of their vaccines (one or two shots) and have passed the required 14- or 28-day interval period.
“Customers are encouraged to keep themselves informed of the latest SOPs by the National Security Council (MKN) to ensure their smooth travel,” the group further said in a statement.
