Maybank has announced a revision to its Air Miles conversion rates, effective from 22 February 2025. This adjustment will affect several of the bank’s credit cards, altering the number of points required to redeem Air Miles.
For holders of Visa Infinite Cards (both Conventional and Islamic), including the Visa Infinite Manchester United, Visa Infinite Diamanté, Mercedes-Benz Card, Maybank 2 Cards Premier (American Express® Reserve & Visa Infinite Credit Cards), and the World Elite Mastercard® Card (Conventional & Islamic), the conversion rate will change from 10,000 TreatsPoints to 1,000 Enrich, KrisFlyer, or Asia Miles, to a new rate of 12,500 TreatsPoints for the same amount of Air Miles.
Similarly, customers using the American Express® Platinum Credit Card, American Express® Charge Card, and American Express® Gold Charge Card will see their conversion rate adjusted from 10,000 Membership Rewards Points to 1,000 Air Miles, to 12,500 Membership Rewards Points for the equivalent Air Miles.
Notably, the conversion rate for the American Express® Platinum Charge Card remains unchanged, maintaining its current rate of 7,000 Membership Rewards Points for 1,000 Air Miles. Additionally, all other Maybank Classic, Gold, Platinum, and Visa Signature Credit Cards not listed above (both Conventional and Islamic) will retain their existing conversion rate of 20,000 TreatsPoints for 1,000 Air Miles. Here’s the full breakdown as shared by Maybank:

In a related update, Maybank has significantly increased its monthly Air Miles allocation for February 2025. From 1 February to 28 February 2025, the allocation will rise from 100 million Air Miles to 2 billion Air Miles, available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Maybank assures its customers that other privileges and benefits associated with their cards remain unchanged. For those interested in cards that automatically accrue Air Miles without the need for manual conversion or redemption, the bank offers assistance in selecting suitable options.
