AmBank has announced revisions to the terms and conditions of its Enrich Visa credit cards. These changes will come into effect on 1 August 2025 and primarily affect the way Enrich Points are earned, along with updated flight discount rates for Malaysia Airlines bookings made via Enrich Online.
From 1 August 2025, both the Enrich Visa Infinite and Enrich Visa Platinum cards will follow a new Enrich Points earning structure. The update reduces the Enrich Points earning rate for airline, overseas, and local spending across both cards. Cardholders will now need to spend more in these categories to earn the same number of points. A new category has also been added for local education, insurance, and utility payments, but this will be capped at 8,000 points per monthly statement cycle, limiting how much you can earn from recurring bills.
| Retail Transaction Category | Previous Rate | New Rate (Effective August 1, 2025) |
|---|---|---|
| Airlines and Overseas | RM1 = 1 Enrich Point | Overseas: RM2 = 1 Enrich PointMalaysia Airlines: RM2 = 1 Enrich Point |
| Local | RM4 = 1 Enrich Point | Local: RM6 = 1 Enrich PointOther Airlines: RM6 = 1 Enrich Point |
| Local Education, Insurance and Utility | N/A | RM12 = 1 Enrich Point (Capped at 8,000 points per statement cycle) |
Overseas and Malaysia Airlines transactions on the Enrich Visa Infinite Card will now earn 1 Enrich Point for every RM2 spent, down from 1 point for every RM1. Local transactions will earn 1 point for every RM6 spent, reduced from RM4 previously. Purchases with other airlines will now earn 1 point for every RM6 spent, revised from the earlier rate of RM1 = 1 point.
A new category has been introduced for education, insurance, and utility payments made in Malaysian Ringgit. These will earn 1 point per RM12, but point accumulation is capped at 8,000 points per monthly statement cycle. Any spending beyond this cap in these categories will not earn additional points.
| Retail Transaction Category | Previous Rate | New Rate (Effective 1 August 2025) |
|---|---|---|
| Airlines and Overseas | RM2 = 1 Enrich Point | Overseas: RM3 = 1 Enrich PointMalaysia Airlines: RM3 = 1 Enrich Point |
| Local | RM5 = 1 Enrich Point | Local: RM7 = 1 Enrich PointOther Airlines: RM7 = 1 Enrich Point |
| Local Education, Insurance and Utility: | N/A | RM13 = 1 Enrich Point (Capped at 8,000 points per statement cycle) |
Overseas and Malaysia Airlines transactions on the Enrich Visa Platinum Card will now earn 1 point for every RM3 spent, down from RM2 previously. Local spending will earn 1 point for every RM7, reduced from RM5 per point. Transactions with other airlines will now earn 1 point for every RM7 spent, revised from the previous rate of RM2 = 1 point.
Education, insurance, and utility transactions in Malaysian Ringgit will now be eligible for points at a rate of RM13 = 1 point, but earnings in this category are capped at 8,000 points per monthly statement cycle.

AmBank has confirmed that aside from the revised earning rates and updated flight discounts, all other features and benefits of the Enrich Visa Cards will remain unchanged. These include a range of travel privileges, insurance coverage, cardholder services, and Enrich Points redemption options.
The Enrich Visa Infinite Card continues to offer unlimited complimentary access to the Malaysia Airlines Golden Lounge for the primary cardholder and one guest. Cardholders will retain travel insurance coverage of up to RM2,000,000. The card carries an annual fee of RM500, which may be waived based on annual spending thresholds. Supplementary cardholders enjoy the same access to selected privileges. Priority check-in and boarding services remain available, and Enrich Points earned can still be redeemed for flights, hotel stays, and retail items. In addition, cardholders continue to earn Elite Points, which contribute towards tier upgrades in the Enrich loyalty programme.
The Enrich Visa Platinum Card maintains its benefit of four complimentary visits per year to the Malaysia Airlines Golden Lounge for the primary cardholder. Travel insurance coverage remains at up to RM500,000. This card retains its free-for-life annual fee structure. Supplementary cards are still supported, and cardholders continue to enjoy priority check-in and boarding when flying with Malaysia Airlines. Enrich Points earned on this card remain eligible for redemption across flights, hotels, and retail purchases. Like the Infinite Card, the Platinum Card also contributes to Elite Points accumulation for status progression within the Enrich programme.
Both Enrich Visa Cards will continue to offer a three-year validity period for Enrich Points from the date they are earned. The existing processes for points transfer and redemption remain in place. Standard income and eligibility requirements continue to apply, and there are no changes to the prevailing interest rates, fees, or the wide acceptance network.

The revised terms and conditions will take effect from August 1, 2025. Current cardholders will automatically be subject to the new earning structure and discount rates from this date forward.
Meanwhile, AmBank is currently offering a First-Year Annual Fee Waiver Campaign for new applicants of the Enrich Visa Infinite Credit Card. This campaign runs from 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026.
Eligible cardholders whose applications are approved within the campaign period will automatically receive a waiver of the RM500 first-year annual fee. The waiver applies only to principal cardholders and does not require any minimum spending for the first year.
For subsequent years, the annual fee waiver will be based on total retail spending over a 12-month period before the card’s renewal date. Cardholders who spend between RM50,000 and RM99,999.99 will receive a 50% waiver, while those spending RM100,000 or more will receive a 100% waiver.
For any inquiries or clarification regarding the revised terms and conditions, cardholders can contact AmBank Customer Care at +603-2178 8888, which operates daily from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., or through email.
