Cat’s out of the bag — AEON Bank’s latest debit card design is purr-fectly playful.

AEON Bank is celebrating its first anniversary with something a little special and a lot adorable. AEON Bank has released a limited-edition version of its Debit Card-i, featuring a cheeky illustrated cat that’s not just for show.

Available exclusively through the AEON Bank app, this limited-edition card is offered while stocks last. It comes with all the same benefits as the standard AEON Bank Debit Card-i, including enhanced grocery rewards, free parking, waived fees, and point multipliers on everyday spending.

AEON Bank is also waiving the usual RM12 card issuance fee and giving 1000 AEON Points (worth RM5) when you apply and activate your Savings Account-i during the promotion period, which runs until the end of August 2025.

Swipe for Groceries, Stack the Points

If your grocery run usually ends with a receipt and no extras, this card changes that. From now until 31 December 2025, you can earn 8x AEON Points for every ringgit spent at eligible physical grocery stores. These must be classified under Merchant Category Code 5411, which includes most supermarkets but excludes online grocers and convenience stores.

If you shop at AEON Bank-owned grocery stores, the deal gets even better. You’ll earn 9x AEON Points for every ringgit spent, thanks to an extra point awarded under the AEON Loyalty Programme by scanning the member recognition. That works out to a 4.5% cashback equivalent for AEON Bank groceries, and 4% at other supermarkets.

Just be aware that the total points distributed under this campaign are capped at 250 million, so the promotion could end earlier on a first-come, first-served basis.

Everyday Spending Still Pays

Even if you’re not buying groceries, your spending still earns rewards. From 1 June to 31 August 2025, you’ll earn 1x AEON Point for every ringgit spent using either your physical or virtual AEON Bank Debit Card-i.

Park Like a Pro (And Pay Nothing)

From now until 31 August 2025, AEON Bank Debit Card-i users can enjoy two hours of free parking at participating AEON Bank locations. For full list of participating malls, can refer to the bank’s promo. To qualify, just enter the mall using your AEON Bank Debit Card-i. This offer doesn’t apply to parking payments made at kiosks or machines, so remember to tap in on arrival.

Thursdays Are the New Cashback Day

AEON Bank has a weekday bonus for loyal shoppers. Every Thursday, you will earn 3x AEON Points for every ringgit spent at participating AEON Bank outlets, along with 1 additional point when you scan your member recognition. This includes AEON Malls, AEON BiG, MaxValu, Wellness, and Daiso stores. On other days, you’ll still get 2x AEON Points per ringgit along with 1 additional point when you scan your member recognition.

The Thursday offer equals a 2% cashback, while purchases on other days return about 1.5% in rewards. This campaign also runs until the end of August 2025, with points credited within 45 working days.

Save on ATM Fees Too

Need cash? From 2 May to 31 December 2025, AEON Bank Debit Card-i holders will enjoy waived ATM withdrawal fees at any MEPS SAN machine nationwide. If you are charged, the amount will be refunded directly into your AEON Bank Savings Account-i after the withdrawal transaction.

What You Need to Know

While the card offers several reward opportunities, some transactions are excluded from earning AEON Points under the ongoing promotions. You won’t earn points on e-wallet top-ups, SSPN savings, non-Shariah compliant merchant transactions, toll payments, insurance premiums, government fees, or purchases from certain payment platforms and merchant categories.
