Be U by Bank Islam is rewarding customers who refer their friends and family to its digital banking products. The referral campaigns now cover both the Be U Qard Savings-i (Be U QSA-i) and the Be U Al-Awfar Investment Account, with each offering cash rewards for successful referrals.
The Be U QSA-i Referral is the newest referral campaign, starting 22 August 2025 and running until 31 December 2025.
Customers who share their referral code will receive RM5 for every successful Be U QSA-i account opening by their referee. To qualify, the referee must enter the referrer’s code when registering and complete the account opening within the campaign period.
The reward is credited to the referrer’s default Be U account within five business days, with a push notification sent for confirmation.
The Be U QSA-i account is a Shariah-compliant savings account protected by PIDM for deposits of up to RM250,000.
The Be U Al-Awfar Referral campaign is also ongoing until 31 December 2025.
Under this campaign, both the referrer and the referee will each receive RM10 when a Be U Al-Awfar account is successfully opened using the referral code. Once the referee completes registration with the code, the reward is credited to both parties’ accounts within five business days, and notifications are sent through the Be U app.
The Be U Al-Awfar account is a Shariah-compliant investment account, which is not covered by PIDM protection.
The Be U Referral Campaign is open to Malaysian citizens aged 18 and above who are users of the Be U mobile application, available on both Apple and Android devices.
Each customer is assigned a unique referral code linked to their Be U account. The code can be shared with others but cannot be transferred or used for self-referrals. To be eligible for rewards, Be U accounts must remain active throughout the campaign period.
The campaign runs on a first-come, first-served basis, with up to 200,000 successful account openings covered under the referral budget allocation.
Bank Islam reminds customers to only use the official Be U app from authorised app stores. Referral codes are system-generated and do not contain personal information. Customers should not share sensitive details or click on unofficial links related to the campaign.
Official communications will only be made via push notifications in the Be U app, email from Bank Islam, calls from the bank’s official numbers, the official Be U website, or verified social media accounts.
