CIMB Bank and CIMB Islamic Bank have introduced Malaysia’s first transport-related debit card benefits via the CIMB Visa Debit Card. The initiative provides users with a 20% cash back on toll and transit-related expenditure, both domestically and internationally, as well as a 30% discount on KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit services.

The 20% cash back applies to a broad range of Malaysian public transport services, including rail networks such as KTM, MRT, and LRT. It also covers taxi fares, e-hailing services including Grab, and bus journeys booked through platforms such as EasyBook and Redbus.

Highway tolls across Malaysia are eligible, including DUKE, KESAS, LDP, and LEKAS, along with bridge tolls such as those for both Penang Bridges, the Johor–Singapore Causeway, and the Malaysia–Singapore Second Link. Other eligible services include the Langkawi Cable Car.

Overseas, the 20% cash back is applicable to selected public transport, taxis, e-hailing services such as Gojek and Uber, railway systems including Eurostar and JR Railway, bus lines, and certain tolls and bridges in various countries.

In addition, users of KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit will receive a 30% discount on both single and return tickets.

According to CIMB, the benefits aim to support increased access to public transportation while helping customers manage everyday costs. By using public transport and related services, cardholders may reduce travel expenses and enhance flexibility in their mobility arrangements.

Gurdip Singh Sidhu, Chief Executive Officer of CIMB Malaysia and CIMB Bank, said the initiative reflects the bank’s efforts to support customers in managing daily transportation costs and promoting the use of debit cards across various payment platforms.

“This campaign encourages greater usage of debit cards within the increasingly wide range of payment options available across Malaysia and the region’s transportation networks. We look forward to offering continued value-adding perks and rewards that enhance our customers’ experiences, in everyday transactions such as transportation both in the country as well as overseas,” he said.

The 20% cash back campaign will run until 31 December 2025, while the 30% discount for KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit is available until 31 August 2025. Full terms and conditions are available at www.cimb.com.my/visadc and deals.cimb.com/dkldc.
