Maybank Enables Prepaid Reloads For International Mobile Numbers Via Maybank2u
Author Avatar

Maybank has rolled out a new service that allows customers to make mobile prepaid reloads for international numbers via the Maybank2u website. This international mobile reload service is free of charge, and currently covers selected telcos in Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Customers who wish to perform international mobile reloads via this service may do so by following these steps:

  • Step 1: Log in to the Maybank2u website
  • Step 2: Go to Pay & Transfer, and select the Reload tab
  • Step 3: Click on Reload To, and select Mobile Prepaid (International)
  • Step 4: Choose from the list of countries and telcos available
  • Step 5: Key in the recipient’s mobile number, and select a reload amount (capped at RM300 per telco)
  • Step 6: Authorise the transaction via Secure2u/SMS TAC

Upon completing the transaction, Maybank will then send an SMS to the recipient of the prepaid reload (for both instant prepaid reloads and prepaid reloads with PINs) as part of its security measures. Note as well that the international mobile reload feature is currently not available on both the Maybank2u and MAE by Maybank2u (MAE) apps.

The new international mobile reload feature is an expansion of Maybank’s mobile reload service, which previously only catered for local numbers. Maybank’s mobile prepaid reload service for local numbers is available via the Maybank2u website, as well as the Maybank2u and MAE apps.

Finally, if you have any queries about the new international mobile reload feature, or are in need of assistance, you may contact the Maybank Group Customer Care at 1-300-88-6688 or via email.
