Thinking of trying out HYROX? Alliance Bank Visa credit cardholders now get 10% off class packages and memberships at four HYROX gyms in the Klang Valley until January 2027. On top of the discount, cardholders can look forward to a free trial class, cheaper recovery sessions, and early access to a HYROX race event.
HYROX is a fitness sport with races held in cities around the world, including Kuala Lumpur this December, and every race follows the same format. To train for one, you can join group classes at HYROX gyms, alongside other people getting ready to race.
Hyrox mixes running with workout stations. You run 1km, then do a workout such as rowing, pushing a weighted sled, or throwing a heavy ball at a wall. You repeat that until you’ve done eight of each. You can race solo, or as a pair in HYROX Doubles. There’s also the Relay, where you and three friends share the race, and each of you does two runs and two stations.
You don’t need to be an athlete to start. The workouts use moves you may already know from the gym, like lunges, squats, and carrying weights. First-timers and regulars race the same course, each at their own pace.
Races have age groups from 16 all the way to 70 and above, so you’re up against people around your age. You can also keep coming back to beat your own time. In a group class, everyone is cheering each other on, whether that’s your first sled push or your tenth race.
Each gym has its own set of deals for Alliance Bank Visa credit card holders, with end dates from 14 to 31 January 2027.

Trying a few classes first lets you find out whether you enjoy HYROX before you pay for a few months of membership. Sign up for a membership with your card at any of the four gyms, and you’ll also get an Alliance Bank x HYROX jersey.
Morph gives you your first HYROX class for free with the trial credit. If you decide to stay, Morph’s VIP Training Ground membership starts at RM330 a month before the 10% discount.
The Backyard gives cardholders early access to its HYROX Race Simulation Event on 21 and 22 November 2026. The event is a practice run of the full race, and tickets open to cardholders 24 hours before everyone else. Do note that The Backyard’s discounts are first come, first served. They stop once the gym has given out RM6,000 in discounts to all cardholders.
At Afterburn Training Club (ABTC), the eight-class pack for RM288 works out to RM36 a class by our own sum. ABTC’s regular 10-class pack costs RM480, or RM48 a class. Meanwhile, REP Hybrid has a trial pack for first-timers, with three class credits and one session with a coach for RM133.20, down from RM148. REP Hybrid’s founding membership is RM420 a month before the 10% discount.
Pay with your Alliance Bank Visa credit card at the gym, and the discount comes off your bill straight away. Morph’s deals are for walk-in payments only. The Backyard also takes online bookings. For those, you’ll need to email a photo of the front of your card to the gym first to get a discount code.
Keep in mind that prices don’t include SST, and you can’t use these deals with other gym promotions. The deals are for personal cards, so business credit cards don’t qualify. As with any card spending, pay your bill in full each month so your classes don’t end up costing more with interest.
