Public Bank Visa Cardholders Can Get Up To 14% Off Agoda Hotel Bookings
Author Avatar

Booking a hotel often means comparing prices across platforms to shave off a few ringgit, especially when travel costs quickly add up with flights, transport, and food. A new promotion for Public Bank cardholders offers a small but immediate way to reduce accommodation costs when booking online.

Public Bank and Public Islamic Bank Visa cardholders can now receive discounts of up to 14% on hotel bookings made through Agoda under a limited time promotion that runs until 31 March 2026.

Discounts Vary Based On The Type Of Visa Card

The size of the discount depends on the type of Visa card used for the booking.

Cardholders using a Public Bank Visa Infinite credit card can receive a 14% discount on eligible hotel bookings. However, the discount is capped at RM100 per transaction.

Those using a Public Bank Visa Signature credit card are eligible for a 12% discount, capped at RM80 per booking.

All other eligible Public Bank and Public Islamic Bank Visa cards qualify for a 7% discount, although this tier does not specify a cap in the promotion materials.

Bookings Must Be Made Through A Dedicated Agoda Page

The promotion applies only to selected hotel properties booked through a dedicated Agoda promotion page. The discount will appear during checkout once a valid Visa card number is entered.

Only prepaid bookings qualify for the discount. Rooms labelled “Pay at the Hotel” are excluded from the offer.

The promotion applies only to accommodation charges and does not cover local taxes, service charges, or other additional fees.

Travel Dates Extend Beyond The Booking Window

Although the booking period runs from 1 January 2026 until 31 March 2026, the travel period extends much further.

For Visa Infinite and Visa Signature cardholders, hotel stays can take place anytime between 1 January 2026 and 30 June 2027.

For other eligible Visa cards receiving the 7% discount, the stay period runs until 30 September 2026.

This longer travel window means bookings made during the promotion can still be used for trips scheduled well into next year.

Savings Are Modest But Useful For Frequent Travellers

The promotion offers relatively small savings per booking due to the capped discount amounts. For example, a RM800 hotel stay paid with a Visa Infinite card would receive the maximum RM100 discount.

However, these types of promotions can still reduce overall travel costs when combined with other discounts or loyalty rewards on booking platforms.

For travellers already planning hotel bookings through Agoda and using Public Bank Visa cards, the promotion offers a straightforward way to trim accommodation costs before the booking window closes at the end of March 2026.
