Boost Bank Disburses Nearly RM150 Million In SME Financing

Boost Bank has disbursed close to RM150 million in financing to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). As the first digital bank in Malaysia to offer financing solutions exclusively for SMEs, the bank positions this achievement as part of its efforts to promote financial inclusion and support underserved business communities.

The disbursement has been supported by two main products, the Term Loan and Revolving Credit facilities. These financing solutions are designed to meet the varied needs of SMEs by providing minimal documentation requirements, fast processing times, and flexible repayment options.

With typical loan sizes averaging around RM300,000, the bank has supported hundreds of SMEs in sectors such as wholesale, manufacturing, retail, construction, and food and beverage. According to Boost Bank, these funds have helped businesses manage daily operations, support cash flow, and pursue growth with fewer barriers.

Fozia Amanulla, Chief Executive Officer of Boost Bank, said SMEs play a vital role in the country’s economy. “SMEs are at the heart of Malaysia’s economy. They create jobs, spark innovation, and keep our communities vibrant. When we started offering SME financing, our mission was clear – to help business owners overcome the financing challenges they often face. Reaching this milestone is not just about hitting a target. It’s about showing what’s possible when financing is made simple, accessible, and built around the real needs of business owners.”

She said the milestone also illustrates the impact of digital innovation on the way businesses operate. “This also reflects how fast digital solutions are reshaping the way businesses operate. At Boost Bank, we’re committed to supporting SMEs not just with financing, but also with the right tools and services to help them run and grow their businesses confidently in the digital age.”

Looking ahead, Boost Bank plans to launch a new digital platform designed specifically for SMEs. The platform is intended to go beyond financing by enabling small businesses to manage their money, payments, and operations in a single digital space, with the aim of helping entrepreneurs focus on growing their businesses.
