Alliance Bank has launched a 20% cashback campaign for contactless transactions made with an Alliance Visa or Mastercard Credit Card. The campaign will run from April until 30 September 2021, allowing cardholders to earn up to RM240 in cashback in total.

Eligible cardholders get 20% cashback on contactless transactions made at grocery stores and supermarkets, convenience stores, pharmacies, and F&B outlets – provided you reach a minimum monthly spend of RM2,000 on your card. Taking into account the monthly cashback cap of RM40 per cardholder, the campaign effectively offers you a 2% rate of returns assuming you spend RM2,000 in a month.

According to Alliance Bank, the monthly minimum spend of RM2,000 does not include insurance, government, and charity spend. However, you can combine your spend across principal and supplementary cards to reach the minimum spend requirement, and the cashback will be credited to the principal card.

All in all, the campaign will offer total cashback of RM20,000 per month, given out on a first-come-first served basis each month. The cashback fulfilment for this campaign will be done in two stages; for the months of April and June, you will get your cashback within 60 working days from 1 July 2021, whereas for the campaign months of July to September, you will get your cashback within 60 working days from 1 October 2021.

The campaign is open to all contactless Alliance Bank Visa and Mastercard credit cardholders except business credit cards. For more information, you can refer to the Alliance Bank website.
