Public Bank Introduces Google Pay Cash Back Campaign For PB Visa Cardholders
Author Avatar

Public Bank has rolled out a new spending campaign that rewards cardholders who use Google Pay with their PB Visa cards. The “Spend via Google Pay and Get Cash Back with PB Visa Cards” campaign offers monthly cash back, along with in-store discounts on selected devices and accessories, and runs for six months.

Earn Cash Back When You Pay With Google Pay

Under the campaign, eligible cardholders can earn monthly cash back by making in-store payments via Google Pay using their PB Visa credit or debit cards. Each qualifying transaction must have a minimum spend of RM80.

Cardholders who complete five qualifying transactions in a participating month can receive RM50 in cash back, while those who complete eight qualifying transactions can receive RM100 in cash back. The maximum cash back is capped at RM100 per cardholder per month and is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to a monthly allocation set by the bank.

The campaign period runs from 15 December 2025 to 14 June 2026. Spending is tracked monthly, based on transaction dates recorded in the bank’s system. Qualifying transactions reset at the end of each month and cannot be carried forward to the next month.

Exclusive Discounts On Google Pixel Devices And Accessories

In addition to cash back, the campaign includes retail discounts for cardholders who use Google Pay. Cardholders can enjoy an exclusive 15% discount on selected Google Pixel devices when purchased in-store at participating Urban Republic, Senheng, and Thundermatch outlets.

There is also a separate offer of 50% off selected accessories, available once a PB Visa card has been added to Google Pay and used at participating stores.

Eligibility Limited To Selected PB Visa Cards

The campaign is open to Public Bank Visa credit and debit cardholders, including PB Lifestyle cardholders, as well as Public Islamic Bank Visa credit cardholders. Only principal cardholders are eligible to participate.

Other PB and PIB card types, as well as card accounts that are suspended, cancelled, or terminated during the campaign period, are not eligible. Spending on supplementary cards is aggregated, but any cash back earned is credited only to the principal cardholder’s account.

Registration Is Required Before Spending Is Counted

Cardholders must complete a one-time registration before their spending is tracked. Registration can be done via PBe using the keyword PBGR or by sending an SMS with PBGR to 68333. The registration must be made using the mobile number registered with the bank.

Cardholders who hold multiple eligible cards only need to register once, as spending across all linked cards will be combined automatically.

Only In-Store Google Pay Transactions Qualify

Qualifying transactions include in-store payments made via Google Pay using PB Visa cards. Online or e-commerce transactions made through Google Pay are excluded.

Other excluded transactions include balance transfers, instalment plans, auto-debit arrangements, recurring payments, utility bills, insurance premiums, government-related payments, cash advances, fees, charges, reversals, and transactions that already earn rewards under other Public Bank campaigns.

When Cash Back Will Be Credited

Cash back earned during a qualifying month will be credited to the principal cardholder’s account within four to twelve weeks after the end of that month, provided all campaign terms and conditions are met.

If a qualifying transaction is later reversed, the cardholder is required to return the full amount of cash back that was credited for that month.
