UOB Malaysia has launched its Festive Spendsation Campaign, running from 2 December 2025 to 31 March 2026. The campaign offers daily cashback, monthly prizes, and a grand prize, and is open to eligible UOB credit and debit cardholders across four campaign months.
The campaign features several reward opportunities for participating cardholders. Daily cashback is available for qualifying local and foreign transactions. Local spend of at least RM50 may earn cashback based on the approval code printed on the card payment slip. Foreign transactions earn cashback for every RM500 spent. The campaign also includes a Daily Top Spender reward worth RM300 for the highest total qualifying spend each day.
At the end of the campaign, one cardholder will receive the grand prize, which is a BMW X3 20 xDrive M Sport. The winner is selected based on entries collected throughout the entire campaign period.
Each month, UOB also awards fifty RM300 cashback prizes in three categories. These categories cover dining and groceries, e-wallet transactions, and 0% instalment payment plan spend. Winners are selected through a shortlisting process followed by an SMS question.
The campaign is open to individual UOB Malaysia cardholders with valid UOB credit or debit card accounts. To participate, cardholders must enrol once using their mobile number registered with the bank. After enrolling, they can earn entries through qualifying spend and eligible account top-ups. Commercial cardholders, non-individual customers, and other excluded groups are not eligible.
Cardholders will receive an SMS or email from UOB with enrolment instructions. Those who do not receive the invitation may still join by sending the code U8 to 66300 using their registered mobile number. A confirmation SMS indicates successful enrolment. Enrolment remains active for the entire campaign unless the cardholder opts out by sending U9 to the same number.
Qualifying spend includes local and overseas transactions made with a UOB card during the campaign period. Foreign transactions are converted into Ringgit Malaysia for calculation. Some transactions do not qualify, including instalment plans, balance transfers, fees, taxes, voided payments, and refunds. Merchant information is used to classify spend categories, and these records are treated as final unless there is clear error or fraud.
Cardholders can earn additional entries by depositing at least RM500 into eligible UOB current or savings accounts each campaign month. The deposit must result in a positive increase in the total account balance. Flexi Mortgage and foreign currency accounts do not qualify for this calculation.
Daily cashback is awarded on a first come first served basis according to the transaction timestamp. For local transactions, the cashback amount depends on the approval code printed on the card payment slip, usually labelled as the approval or authorisation code on the receipt. Cashback is capped each day for both individual cardholders and the campaign. For foreign transactions, cashback is earned for every RM500 spent, subject to daily pool limits. If several cardholders qualify at the same time for the final allocation, the transaction with the higher spend amount is selected.
Each day of the campaign features a Daily Top Spender reward. The cardholder with the highest total qualifying spend for the day earns RM300 cashback. In the event of a tie, the earliest timestamp is used to determine the winner.
Every campaign month, UOB shortlists cardholders from the dining and groceries, e-wallet, and 0% instalment plan categories. Shortlisted cardholders receive an SMS with a question, and the first fifty to answer correctly within the given time become the monthly winners. Each winner receives RM300 cashback.
Cashback is credited to the principal card account based on UOB’s fulfilment schedule. Supplementary cardholders do not receive cashback directly. Any disputes must be raised by 30 June 2026. Cashback may be forfeited if the cardholder’s account is not in good standing when fulfilment takes place.
Ten shortlisted cardholders are contacted by SMS at the end of the campaign. The first to answer the question correctly within the provided timeframe becomes the grand prize winner. The BMW X3 includes SST but excludes insurance, road tax, registration fees, number plates, and optional add-ons, which the winner must bear. The vehicle will be registered under the winner’s name, and UOB will provide collection details.
