UOB Upgrades Complimentary Travel Benefits For Visa Infinite & Privilege Banking Visa Infinite Credit Cardholders
Author Avatar

UOB Malaysia has updated some of the complimentary travel benefits for its UOB Visa Infinite and UOB Privilege Banking Visa Infinite credit card. These include increasing the number of complimentary airport lounge access allowed, as well as complimentary airport limousine service to 12 times per calendar year (one time per calendar month).

With this update, UOB Visa Infinite and UOB Privilege Banking Visa Infinite cardholders will gain 12x access to airport lounges in Asia Pacific and international airport lounges (from 4x/year currently), via the Airport Companion by DragonPass mobile app. Prior to this, cardholders of both cards had less accessibility to airport lounges, as you can see in the table below:

CardsComplimentary access to airport lounge before 1 July 2022Complimentary access to airport lounge after 1 July 2022
UOB Visa Infinite4x access to airport lounges in Asia Pacific per calendar year12x access to airport lounges in Asia Pacific per calendar year (capped at 1x per month)
UOB Privilege Banking Visa Infinite6x access to international airport lounge per calendar year12x access to international airport lounge per calendar year (capped at 1x per month)

The list of airport lounges will also be expanded to include more lounges as DragonPass and Plaza Premium Group have recently announced a strategic partnership. This means UOB Visa Infinite and UOB Privilege Banking Visa Infinite cardholders will now also have access to more than 180 lounges managed by Plaza Premium Lounge, on top of an existing 1,200 and more lounges already available via the DragonPass network.

Meanwhile, the complimentary airport limousine service has also been revised to permit a maximum of 12x redemptions per cardholder (1x per calendar month), up from the previous 4x redemption allowed. Note that you must meet a minimum spend requirement of RM5,000 on airlines, hotels, and/or travel agency expenses (either in a single or cumulative transactions) to make one redemption.

Other privileges and benefits for both cards continue to remain unchanged. Cardholders will continue to earn 8x UNIRinggit for overseas spend, 5x UNIRinggit for dining (if your total dining spend per calendar month is ≥RM1,000), and 1x UNIRinggit for local spend. You’ll also still be able to enjoy up to 20% discount at over 200 airport dining outlets, as well as travel insurance with coverage of up to RM500,000.

Additionally, the minimum income requirement UOB Visa Infinite card is still set at RM120,000 per annum (equivalent to RM10,000 per month). Meanwhile, the UOB Privilege Banking Visa Infinite card is by invitation only.

The revisions above are slated to take effect starting from 1 July 2022.
