Citi will be running an updated 2022 Online, E-Wallet, and 0% Easy Payment Plan (EPP) campaign, which rewards its credit cardholders with up to RM118 cashback when they spend a specified minimum amount under the online and e-wallet category, as well as the 0% EPP category on their cards. Set to begin on 1 February 2022 (tomorrow), this campaign will continue for six months until 31 July.

Back in 2021, Citi rolled out this particular campaign as an online and e-wallet campaign that rewarded its cardholders with tiered cashback of up to RM100 when they met a monthly minimum spend requirement. This time round, the bank has updated the qualifying minimum amount that needs to be spent and expanded the campaign to also include 0% EPP payments – with the cashback rewards to be provided as follows:

Spend categoryConditions & DetailsCashback cap per customer for in a campaign month
Online & E-WalletMinimum cumulative spend of RM1,800 in a campaign monthRM100
Citi 0% EPPMinimum one new successful 0% EPP booking of RM1,800 and above in a campaign monthRM18
 TotalRM118

Note that under the online and e-wallet category, you must spend with participating e-commerce merchants and on e-wallet platforms. Specifically, the e-commerce merchants must be registered on the Pine Labs network, whereas only reload transactions on the following e-wallets are eligible for the campaign:

  • Boost
  • GrabPay
  • KiplePay
  • Lazada Wallet
  • Setel
  • ShopeePay
  • Touch ‘n Go (TNG) eWallet

Do also be aware that 0% EPP transactions will typically take between three to five business days from the actual day of purchase to be reflected in your statement. If you’re looking to time your purchases to earn via this campaign, remember to take this into account when buying your items. Aside from that, transactions such as JomPay payments and instalments do not qualify for the campaign.

Citi has earmarked a monthly total of RM177,000 to be disbursed on a first-come first-served basis (RM150,000 for online and e-wallet spend category, and RM27,000 for the 0% EPP spend category). If you do earn the cashback rewards, it’ll be credited to your account within 60 days after the end of each campaign month, and will also be reflected in your monthly credit card statement.
