CIMB & Standard Chartered Credit Cardholders Can Now Redeem TNG eWallet Credit With Rewards Points

CIMB and Standard Chartered credit cardholders can now redeem their rewards points for Touch ‘n Go eWallet credits, with a choice of between RM50 or RM100.

This is the first time the e-wallet service provider has offered such an exchange, with the added benefit of giving you eWallet credit that never expire. In other words, the eWallet credit don’t expire once you have redeemed them into your eWallet account, and you can use them for various transactions at your leisure. These include making toll payments through Touch ‘n Go’s PayDirect/RFID, paying for your bills, or making purchases at over 200,000 stores and outlets nationwide.

For CIMB cardholders, you can redeem RM50 worth of Touch ‘n Go eWallet credit with 22,000 bonus points (BP), and RM100 worth of eWallet credit with 42,000 BP. Note that your redemptions will come in the form of e-PINs; these e-PINs are non-refundable and have a validity period of one year from the date they are generated. Also, don’t forget to provide your email address so that the e-PINs can be sent to you.

Based on the redemption rate, 1 CIMB Bonus Point is worth 0.23 sen.

Meanwhile, the redemption rate for Standard Chartered cardholders stands at 35,500 points and 71,500 for RM50 and RM100 worth of Touch ‘n Go eWallet credit, respectively. The reload PINs for Standard Chartered cardholders are valid only for 180 days. You’ll also have to provide your email address during the redemption process to get the PINs, and they will be sent to you within 14 working days.

Based on the redemption rate, 1 SC reward point is worth 0.14 sen.

To redeem, head on over to either the CIMB Member Rewards page or the Standard Chartered 360° Rewards page. From there, search for Touch ‘n Go eWallet reload PINs under their Voucher/e-Voucher section. Once you find them, enter and confirm the number of redemptions that you wish to make, and then simply reload your Touch ‘n Go eWallet when you receive your PINs.
