StashAway Launches ETF Explorer To Simplify Global Investing For Malaysians
Author Avatar

StashAway Malaysia has introduced ETF Explorer, a new feature that allows investors to explore and invest in Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) across global markets, asset classes, and investment themes through a single platform.

Broader Access To Global ETFs

Many Malaysian investors are familiar with local funds that mainly focus on domestic markets. Although global ETFs offer an effective way to diversify, they are often difficult to access and understand. Traditional brokerages tend to provide thousands of ETF options with limited guidance and complex interfaces.

ETF Explorer aims to make this process simpler. The feature offers access to more than 80 carefully selected ETFs covering global equities, bonds, commodities, and thematic sectors such as artificial intelligence, US technology, and emerging markets. Investors can access these opportunities without needing to open a foreign trading account.

Designed To Make Global Investing More Accessible

According to Wong Wai Ken, Country Manager of StashAway Malaysia, ETF Explorer is intended to make global investing easier for a wider range of investors.

“Many Malaysians we spoke to felt that global investing was only for the financially savvy,” said Wong. “But it has a place in everyone’s portfolio. Whether you are just getting started or already experienced, ETF Explorer makes it easier to discover global opportunities and make informed decisions that build long-term wealth.”

The platform is designed for straightforward use. Investors can select and invest in an ETF within minutes without having to sort through thousands of ticker symbols. Each ETF includes clear and easy-to-understand explanations so users know exactly what they are investing in.

Transparent Costs And Professional Screening

Investors using ETF Explorer pay a flat fee of USD 1.99 per order, with no ongoing management fees. This helps returns grow more efficiently over time. Dividends are automatically reinvested at no additional cost.

Behind the platform, StashAway’s investment team reviews thousands of ETFs globally to identify those that are cost-efficient, tax-optimised, and well-managed. This screening process allows investors to benefit from professional research and expertise without the higher costs typically charged by traditional wealth managers.

Supporting Long-Term Investment Goals

ETF Explorer is part of StashAway’s mission to make long-term, globally diversified investing more straightforward and affordable for Malaysians.

It is designed for investors who prefer to build their own portfolios with guidance, while those who prefer a hands-off approach can continue to grow their wealth through StashAway’s managed portfolios.

By making global ETFs easier to access and understand, StashAway aims to support Malaysians in creating diversified portfolios that align with their long-term financial goals.
