Public Holidays & Long Weekends In 2024
Author Avatar

It’s close to the end of 2023, and we’re sure many of you will be heading off for your year-end, as well as Christmas and New Year vacation soon. But while you anticipate these upcoming festivities, it’s also time to start planning your day offs for the next year so that you can take advantage of public holidays to tap into long weekends – whether it’s for a trip abroad, a getaway within the country or to balik kampung, or just to relax at home!

Here’s a look at the upcoming public holidays in 2024 – along with some suggestions as to which days to apply for leave to maximise the long weekends!

Unlike in 2022 and 2023 – where there were opportunities to enjoy nine-day breaks by taking just a few days of annual leave – there are no such occasions in 2024. That said, with a total of six long weekends readily available next year, and several extra ones if you’re willing to take some days of leave, there are still plenty of chances for you to enjoy a breather when you need them, or throw a festive celebration.

With this, we hope that you’re ready to plan your leave and upcoming trips wisely, making the best of 2024! Of course, as you make the necessary arrangements and preparations for your future travels – like buying your flight tickets and booking hotels – remember to also tap into the benefits of your credit cards to earn cashback and rewards points or airmiles, in addition to exclusive discounts via ongoing campaigns!
