HSBC Revises Air Miles Redemption Rates For Platinum And Signature Credit Cards

HSBC has announced a revision to the redemption rates for air miles under its Rewards Points programme for its Platinum and Signature credit cards. The revision will affect redemptions for three frequent flyer programmes: Enrich (Malaysia Airlines), KrisFlyer (Singapore Airlines), and Asia Miles (Cathay Pacific).

Based on the HSBC website, the cards that should be included in this revision are the HSBC Advance Visa Platinum, HSBC Platinum (Mastercard & Visa), and the HSBC Visa Signature. Depending on the frequent flyer programme, the new redemption rate will increase between 66% to 71%. The table below shows the comparison of the old and new redemption rates:

The new redemption rates will be effective from 16 August 2019. To redeem air miles, cardholders can visit the HSBC Rewards page.
