Maybank has announced upcoming revisions to the travel benefits and spending requirements for the Maybank World Elite Mastercard Credit Card and the Maybank Islamic World Elite Mastercard Ikhwan Credit Card-i. The changes take effect on 1 January 2026.
From 2026 onwards, eligible cardmembers will be able to redeem a Buy 1 Get 1 Complimentary Business Class ticket with Malaysia Airlines. The offer applies to selected destinations, including Tokyo, Seoul, Hong Kong, Taipei, Melbourne, Perth, Shanghai, and Beijing.
Cardmembers must record a minimum spend of RM150,000 between 1 January and 31 December 2026 to qualify. Bookings and amendments must be made through Maybank’s designated travel agent.
Cardmembers who reached the earlier spend requirement of RM250,000 between 8 October 2024 and 31 December 2025 may still redeem the Buy 1 Get 1 Business Class ticket with Qatar Airways to London or Paris. Booking must be completed by 31 January 2026, with travel allowed until 30 April 2026.
The complimentary one-night hotel stay at Radisson Blu London or Hotel Napoleon Paris will be discontinued from 2026. It will be replaced with a 25 percent discount on hotel bookings made through Agoda when paying with an eligible Maybank World Elite Mastercard. Minimum booking conditions and discount caps apply under Agoda’s terms.
The annual fee for the card remains RM800 and continues to be waived for the first year. Beginning in 2026, the minimum spend required to qualify for a fee waiver in subsequent years will be set at RM120,000 per card anniversary cycle. For a customer who activates the card in January 2024, the first-year fee is automatically waived, and RM120,000 in spending must be accumulated between January and December 2024 to receive the waiver for the following year.
Maybank confirms that all other terms and conditions for the Maybank World Elite Mastercard Credit Card and the Maybank Islamic World Elite Mastercard Ikhwan Credit Card-i remain fully applicable. Customers may contact Maybank for further information.
