Perbadanan Usahawan Nasional Bhd (PUNB) plans to approve RM2.25 billion for Bumiputera entrepreneurs between 2026 and 2030. Announced during the launch of SParK 2026: Business Transformation, the initiative also includes a lower financing rate of as low as 3.5% per annum for the PROSPER GROW scheme, alongside three new programmes aimed at improving access to business funding for selected industries.
The RM2.25 billion will be channelled through PUNB’s existing schemes:
| Programme | Financing Amount | Purpose |
| PROSPER GROW | Up to RM1 million | Business growth and expansion for SMEs |
| PROSPER GREAT | Up to RM10 million | Business expansion for established businesses |
| PROSPER IMPACT / NOVA | Up to RM20 million | Large-scale and strategic business projects |
PUNB also introduced three new programmes under PROSPER GROW to cater to businesses in specific industries. Biz Express is aimed at Bumiputera businesses, including newly established childcare and professional services businesses, while Fuel Up supports new and existing petrol station operators. Auto Biz is designed for new and existing automotive service centres.
Businesses applying for amounts of up to RM1 million must be 100% Bumiputera-owned, while applications above RM1 million require at least 70% Bumiputera ownership and control.
You must also have been operating for at least 18 months and record annual sales of at least RM300,000, although newly established childcare and professional services businesses are also eligible under Biz Express.
Businesses must be registered with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) or the relevant local authority, where applicable, and have updated financial records, a good credit history and the required supporting documents.
Applications can be submitted through PUNB’s online portal after creating an account. PUNB’s website also includes a financing calculator, consultation sessions, business advisory services and business briefings for entrepreneurs who want to learn more before applying.
