Rapid KL’s Promo Offers 2-For-1 Deal For My50 Passes, Only For New Users
Author Avatar

Rapid KL is currently running a My50 Buddy 2 Untuk 1 promo in conjunction with the popular 9.9 sale events that are happening across the country, giving commuters the chance to purchase two My50 travel passes at the price of one. As the name of the promo implies, however, the two passes are intended to be shared between you and a friend; you cannot obtain both passes for yourself.

According to Rapid KL, the promo is applicable only to new My50 customers, allowing them to purchase two passes at only RM50 (My50 passes usually cost RM50 each). If you are interested and eligible, you and your friend will need to sign up and apply for the promotion through the MyRapid PULSE app between today until 7 September 2022. The process is pretty straightforward; simply follow these steps:

  • Fire up your MyRapid PULSE app, and scroll down until you reach the 9.9 My50 Buddy 2 Untuk 1 promo
  • Tap on the banner to access the registration form
  • Fill in the details for yourself and your friend, and submit the form

If your application is successful, you’ll need to redeem your passes from Rapid KL at specified locations, with the process running on quite a tight schedule. Approved applicants will receive a confirmation email on 8 September 2022, after which, they must then collect their passes on 9 September (there is no mention whether you can collect it after 9 September). The passes can only be collected at two locations: the KL Sentral LRT or the Pasar Seni bus hub.

Note as well that both you and your friend must be present when collecting the passes. You’ll also need to bring a printout of the confirmation email and your MyKad.

If you’re not familiar with Rapid KL’s My50 travel pass, it essentially allows commuters to tap into any of its public transport services in Klang Valley for a period of 30 days. These include the LRT, MRT, and monorail services, as well as BRT and Rapid KL buses. Aside from the My50 travel pass, Rapid KL also has a range of other passes to meet the varying needs of public transport commuters, including the Keluarga Malaysia Travel Pass, MyCity Pass, and KL Travel Pass.
