Malaysians can now access their credit reports directly within the Grab app through a partnership with Credit Bureau Malaysia.
The feature provides access to CBM’s MyScore Report without requiring a separate download, placing credit information within an app already used for transport, deliveries, and payments.
The MyScore Report contains key credit information such as repayment history, existing credit facilities, and other records used by financial institutions during credit assessments.
This data forms part of the evaluation process for personal loans, credit cards, hire purchase financing, and certain business facilities.
With access available inside Grab, users can review these details before submitting applications.
The integration places credit reporting within a platform widely used by gig workers, driver and delivery partners, and micro-entrepreneurs.
Individuals with variable income streams or shorter credit histories can review their credit profiles ahead of financing applications. Micro, small, and medium enterprises may also use the report to assess their credit position when applying for working capital or expansion funding.
The rollout takes place during the implementation of Malaysia’s National Strategy for Financial Literacy 2026 to 2030, which is currently in force.
Credit Bureau Malaysia is jointly owned by Sunway Group and Credit Guarantee Corporation Malaysia Berhad. It was the first credit reporting agency granted access to Bank Negara Malaysia’s Central Credit Reference Information System.
The bureau provides credit data and analytics to individuals, MSMEs, and financial institutions in Malaysia.
