HashKey Exchange has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with HATA, an SC registered digital asset exchange in Malaysia, to strengthen collaboration in the Southeast Asian digital finance ecosystem. The partnership aims to establish a secure and transparent framework for digital asset services across the region.

Strengthening Regional Digital Finance Collaboration

Under the MoU, HashKey Exchange and HATA will work together to explore opportunities in technology integration, regulatory alignment, user experience, and business model development. Both exchanges will assess system connectivity and API integration to enhance operational efficiency and market liquidity.

The partnership will also involve joint studies on digital asset regulations in Hong Kong and Malaysia. These efforts are intended to promote compliant operations and improve trading experiences for investors in Southeast Asia, while supporting the region’s long-term market growth.

Leadership Perspectives On The Partnership

Haiyang Ru, CEO of HashKey Exchange BG, said the collaboration represents an important milestone in regional digital finance development.

“We are pleased to partner with HATA to explore digital asset opportunities in Southeast Asia. Together, we aim to support the region’s growing digital finance ecosystem by offering safer, more efficient, and compliant services to users in Malaysia and beyond,” he said.

David Low, Co-founder and CEO of HATA, said the partnership builds on both companies’ strengths in regulated digital asset operations.

“By combining HATA’s foundation in Malaysia with HashKey’s regulatory experience in Hong Kong, we are creating a more connected and compliant cross-border digital finance network that benefits users across Southeast Asia,” he said.

As of October 2025, HashKey Exchange ranks 16th globally on CoinGecko among digital asset exchanges.

By aligning expertise and compliance standards, both parties aim to foster a safer, more efficient, and more connected digital finance environment across Southeast Asia.
