MATTA Fair 2026 Travel and Credit Card Deals
Author Avatar

The MATTA Fair is back at MITEC from 3 to 5 April 2026, with over 2,000 booths across 10 halls. Doors open from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM daily, free admission.

Here’s a breakdown of the main deals at this round of MATTA Fair, and what to look out for if you’re planning a trip between now and March 2027.

Flight Deals

Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) is offering up to 30% off Economy and Business Class fares on Malaysia Airlines and Firefly, for travel until 31 March 2027.

  • Malaysia Airlines return fares from KL: RM149 to Penang/Langkawi (Economy Lite), RM559 to Singapore, RM2,519 to Tokyo/Osaka, RM3,059 to London
  • Firefly: Domestic one-way from RM78, international from RM138
  • Enrich Priority Sale (31 March to 1 April): Extra 5% off for Enrich members, 48 hours before the fair opens. Free to sign up.
  • Visa card payment: Another 5% off qualifying fares for any eligible Visa card issued in Malaysia
  • Stack all three: 30% base + 5% Enrich + 5% Visa on the same booking

The general public online sale runs from 2 April to 13 April. The priority window and extra 5% are exclusive to Enrich members.

Other airlines: Qatar Airways is offering up to 15% off (travel until 30 June 2026) and EVA Air up to 7% off (booked by 30 June 2026) with your CIMB credit card. For long-haul flights, a smaller discount on a higher base fare can still work out cheaper, so it’s worth comparing before you commit.

Credit Card Deals At The Fair

The card you use at the fair can change the final price quite a bit. On a RM5,000 travel booking, the gap between using a card with a MATTA Fair promotion and one without can easily be RM500 or more in savings, bonus points, or contest entries.

BankKey Offer
RHBUp to RM4,000 off with travel partners; 0% instalments; Multi-Currency Card (34 currencies, no conversion fees)
MaybankWin cars or RM1,000 cashback; bonus entries with EzyPay; 10x entries for new card sign-ups
CIMB10% off Business Class; lucky dip at fair (min. RM500 spend); TravelCurrency forex (19 currencies)
Affin Bank20x Rewards Points on RM3,000+ travel spend; 1-for-1 Business Class for premium cards
AmBank3x Enrich Points during priority sale (2x public sale); 5x with EnrichMoney card

Hotel And Resort Deals

Several hotels and resorts are using the fair to clear inventory and drive advance bookings, with rates well below what you’d typically find online. Most of the hotel deals here are for local trips.

  • Resorts World Genting: First World Hotel from RM59/night (RM78 for Genting Rewards members). Genting SkyWorlds Hotel quad rooms from RM199. Bundles available with Genting SkyWorlds and Skytropolis day tickets. Keep in mind that Genting earns from food, entertainment, and theme parks, so set a spending limit beyond the room rate.
  • Lexis Hotel Group: Private pool villas and suites from RM300/night (Lexis Port Dickson) to RM880/night (Imperial Lexis KL). Breakfast separate, from RM50/adult. There are also tiered contest entries — buy one voucher and you get a slogan contest entry, buy more and you move up to instant gifts and a gold bar draw. Don’t let the contest mechanics push you into buying more rooms than you need.
  • Hard Rock Hotel Desaru Coast: Room stays with free Adventure Waterpark tickets from RM699 nett.

Tour Packages Worth Looking At

The tour options look a bit different this year. Visa-free travel to China, the rise of private small-group tours in East Asia, and guaranteed European departures are the three biggest changes to look out for.

  • China: Visa-free travel (up to 90 days) has expanded itineraries well beyond Beijing and Shanghai. Operators like Travel Planner (Booth 2AP18) now cover Zhangjiajie, Harbin, Tibet, and Xinjiang. Prices range from ~RM1,9xx (Shanghai) to ~RM5,4xx (Xinjiang). “Pure play, no shopping” tours are now standard, meaning higher upfront costs but no compulsory retail stops.
  • Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan: Private small-group tours (4-person minimum, 9-seater vehicles, driver-guides) are replacing the old 40-person coach model. Halal/Muslim-friendly dining available. From ~RM2,6xx (5-day South Korea) to RM5,5xx+ (Japan).
  • Europe: Guaranteed departures with fixed weekly schedules are now available, removing the risk of last-minute cancellations. From RM2,951 (6-day Imperial Capitals) to RM13,080 (17-day ScanBaltic).

Your Game Plan For The Fair

Before you go, set a budget, shortlist destinations, check passport validity (six months from return date), and register for a free Enrich membership. Review the credit card table above and decide which card to bring. Check exhibitor websites and social media for deal previews.

At the fair, arrive early on Friday, when the best-priced seats, rooms, and promo bundles are still available. Negotiate on group bookings. Read the fine print on blackout dates, cancellation policies, and inclusions before paying.

Before you swipe, it’s worth cross-referencing booth prices against online platforms. Traveloka has Malaysia Airlines flights from RM45.90 on select domestic routes, plus an RM125 or 8% rebate (promo code “JOMJALAN”). Klook has tiered promo codes on attractions and rail passes. If an online platform can match the booth price and stack a promo code on top, the online booking may come out cheaper. That said, physical travel agents often hold block-booked inventory that online platforms can’t access, especially for peak-season flights and cruise cabins.

Don’t forget to join in the Buyers’ Contest. RM300 in receipts from participating exhibitors gets you an entry. Past prizes include Business Class tickets and resort stays. If you’re at RM280, a small add-on like travel insurance closes the gap.

Getting there is easy enough. Free shuttle services run from KL Sentral and Sunway Putra Mall directly to MITEC, and parking is available at Matrade, Kompleks Mahkamah KL, and The MET.

Making It All Add Up

Most of the savings at MATTA Fair come from combining a few different offers. A base fare discount on its own might look attractive, but when you layer it with a priority sale, the right credit card, and maybe 0% instalments, the total savings can add up to a few hundred Ringgit.

If you’re going, go in with a plan. Know your rough budget, shortlist what you actually want, and don’t be afraid to walk away and compare prices before paying. The deals will still be there, but the better decisions usually come from slowing down just enough to check.
