Public Bank has revised the benefits of its Visa Infinite credit card. Beginning 15 May 2019, the card’s cashback benefits will see an improvement, but the card’s airmiles benefit will be removed.

As one of the bank’s higher-end cards, the Public Bank Visa Infinite has a number of useful benefits. It offers 3x complimentary access to Plaza Premium Lounges in Malaysia every year, as well as unlimited 0.3% cashback for local and overseas spending.

However, beginning 15 May 2019 the Public Bank Visa Infinite’s features will be revised. The table below reflects the changes:

The changes would definitely make the card more appealing for cashback hunters – the jump from 0.3% to 2% cashback for overseas spend is huge, especially those who travel overseas regularly.

The removal of the Air Miles benefits isn’t actually a bad thing, since the conversion rate for the Air Miles (1,000 Enrich/2,000 BIG Points for every RM10,000 spend) isn’t as competitive as other air miles cards.
