AEON Credit Rolls Out Malaysia’s First Biker-Focused Credit Cards
Author Avatar

AEON Credit Service (M) Berhad has launched Malaysia’s first-ever credit cards tailored exclusively for the motorcycle community. Unveiled today at The Estate on Federal Hill, the AEON Biker Gold Visa and AEON Biker Infinite Visa cards were developed in partnership with Visa to serve the unique needs of bikers, from the daily commuter to the lifestyle enthusiast.

The launch signifies AEON Credit’s intent to expand its credit card offerings while strengthening its bond with a segment that comprises nearly 83% of Malaysian households.

In his address, AEON Credit Managing Director, Daisuke Maeda, remarked that motorcycles have transcended their utilitarian role to become lifestyle statements. “The AEON Biker Card is our response to this evolution, designed to support the needs and aspirations of today’s modern riders,” he said.

Highlighting AEON Credit’s 25% market share in new motorcycle registrations, Maeda underscored the cards’ role in enriching the riding experience beyond vehicle ownership.

The AEON Biker Gold Visa offers up to 5% cashback on motorcycle spare parts, accessories, and merchandise, 2% cashback on petrol with complimentary insurance coverage, and 0.5% on all other transactions.

Meanwhile, the Infinite version elevates these benefits further, with up to 8% cashback on bike-related purchases and exclusive perks such as 8x complimentary airport lounge access and 24/7 Visa Concierge Services. Both cards also grant access to premier biking events, including the AEON Credit MAM Malaysia Superbike Championship and MotoGP.

Maeda also shared plans to integrate additional privileges and promotions via the AEON Wallet app, aiming to make biking safer, more accessible, and more rewarding. “These benefits are all part of our broader vision to cultivate a vibrant and connected biking community in Malaysia that celebrates freedom, passion, and shared experiences,” he stated.

Echoing this sentiment, Visa Malaysia’s Country Manager Previn Pillay said the collaboration underscores Visa’s commitment to inclusivity and customer-centric innovation.

“With nearly 83% of Malaysian households owning a motorbike, it underscores the significance of this community… ensuring that every Visa cardholder can enjoy the advantages that align with their interests and way of life,” he said.

Applications for the AEON Biker Visa Cards are now open and can be submitted digitally through the AEON Wallet app or the company’s official website at https://myaeoncredit.com.my.
