GXBank Begins Rolling Out Support For DuitNow QR In Batches
Author Avatar

GXBank has begun rolling out support for the DuitNow QR payment feature as part of its latest app update, made available to customers gradually in batches. In fact, some individuals are already able to access and make payments via the function on their app.

If you’re one of these fortunate individuals, you should see a new “Scan” function on the home screen of your GXBank app. Simply tap on it to access the DuitNow QR feature when you wish to make a payment or transfer money to another individual, and you’ll be able to scan DuitNow QR codes as per usual. You can also receive DuitNow QR payments; just switch to “Receive” when you’re on the Scan QR screen to do so.

Note that the DuitNow QR function on GXBank has a default daily payment limit of RM1,000 and a default transfer limit of RM5,000. You can, however, reset these to your own preference. Just be aware that the maximum daily payment limit and daily transfer limit that you’re allowed to reset to is RM5,000 and RM50,000, respectively.

GXBank also reminded on its social media pages that payments made through the DuitNow QR feature will not be entitled to any cashback. Customers are only able to earn unlimited 1% cashback on various online and offline retail transactions through the GXBank debit card, as it is one of the card’s exclusive features.

Earlier this month, GXBank had already confirmed that it will be enabling support for DuitNow QR sometime in March. The digital bank also said that the new function will be rolled out progressively, but did not share a concrete timeline at that time.

Aside from enabling DuitNow QR support, this latest update from GXBank will also include the rollout of a few other features, including referrals and scheduled transfers, so keep an eye out for those as well! Additionally, the digital banking app now supports Bahasa Malaysia, which can be applied based on your native phone language settings.

If you’d like to sign up for an account with GXBank, you can download the app from Google Play or the App Store.
