GXBank Debit Card Is Now Available To All Users

Grab-led digital bank GXBank has announced that it is now offering its physical GX Card to all users nationwide. This means that you will no longer need to wait for an application slot to open up, as was the case before when GXBank rolled out its much-anticipated debit card gradually in batches, only to selected users.

“We are truly encouraged to know Malaysians are enjoying our card, therefore we are excited to share that all GXBank customers nationwide can now apply for their very own GX Card! With Ramadan and Hari Raya coming around the corner, we will definitely have some exciting campaigns to make preparations for the festive season more affordable and convenient,” the digital bank shared in an email to its users.

For context, the GX Card – which is available both as a virtual and physical card – allows you to earn unlimited 1% cashback when you use it for various online and offline retail transactions. These include expenses such as groceries, dining, shopping, petrol, and bill payments. The 1% cashback benefit is also applicable to your spending at Jaya Grocer outlets, which already lets you earn 1.5x GrabRewards Points for every RM1 spent.

Aside from that, GX Bank cardholders will also be able to enjoy a waiver on the RM1 MEPS fee when you make withdrawals at automated teller machines (ATMs) nationwide. Several other fees, like the issuance fee for the physical card and the 1.2% administration fee for foreign transactions, are also waived. Note, however, that these waivers are currently offered only until the end of this year.

If you’d like to apply for a GX Card, you’ll first need to open a GXBank account via its app. Once you’ve registered and opened your GX account – which has its own perks, like being able to enjoy 3% p.a. interest on your balance – you’ll see a banner prompting you to apply for the debit card. Go ahead and click on the banner, and you’ll be guided throughout the application process. When your application is approved, you’ll receive your virtual GX Card immediately, which you can use while you wait for the arrival of your physical card.

New customers who register for a GXBank account between today until the end of this month can tap into an ongoing sign-up offer, where they can earn RM8 instant cashback when they deposit a minimum of RM88 to their account, and another RM8 cashback when they link their DuitNow ID to the account. You can also enjoy up to RM29.40 cashback (6x RM4.90) on your GrabUnlimited subscription.
