GXBank Bonus Pocket Up To 3.18% P.A. On Savings - From 10 Sept
Author Avatar

GXBank has sent app notifications to customers teasing a new savings feature called Bonus Pocket, designed to help Malaysians grow their money with higher interest rates and flexible access. Available from 10 September, Bonus Pocket offers up to 3.18% per annum interest on savings of up to RM50,000.

Higher Interest, Greater Flexibility

With Bonus Pocket, customers can earn more without sacrificing flexibility. Savings placed in Bonus Pockets will enjoy a base interest of 2.00% p.a., credited daily. On top of this, bonus interest is added at the end of the tenure, giving customers the opportunity to reach returns of up to 3.18% p.a.

Importantly, the feature comes with no lock-ins. Customers can withdraw funds whenever they need to, retaining control over their money while enjoying the benefits of higher interest.

How Bonus Pocket Works

The Bonus Pocket is structured around two components. Customers receive a base interest of 2.00% p.a., which is calculated and credited daily. Additional bonus interest is then credited at the end of the selected tenure.

For those who commit to three months, the bonus interest is 1.18% p.a., bringing the total to 3.18% p.a. Alternatively, a two-month option offers bonus interest of 0.58% p.a., for a total of 2.58% p.a.

The arrangement gives customers the flexibility to choose a saving period that matches their needs while maximising returns on balances of up to RM50,000.

Simple to Set Up on the GXBank App

Opening a Bonus Pocket is straightforward. Customers simply log in to the GXBank app, select Bonus Pocket, and start saving. The entire process can be managed digitally without paperwork.

Interest is credited seamlessly into the account, and withdrawals can be made anytime if funds are needed earlier.

Bonus Pocket represents GXBank’s effort to offer Malaysians a flexible yet rewarding way to manage their savings. With higher interest rates, daily crediting, and full digital access, customers can enjoy steady returns without being tied to rigid terms.

GXBank is licensed by Bank Negara Malaysia as a digital bank and is a member of Perbadanan Insurans Deposit Malaysia (PIDM). Deposits are protected up to RM250,000 per depositor, providing additional peace of mind for customers who choose to save with Bonus Pocket.

Customers can look out for Bonus Pocket on 10 September, with full details and activation available through the GXBank app on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

One very important fact missed out from this article is that if you withdraw early, the accrued interest of 1.8% will be forfeited. The 2.00% p.a. base interest will remain there. It is essentially a FD product with 2% daily interest secured.
