HSBC Bank is currently running its Visa Olympic Games Paris 2024 campaign, where eligible credit cardholders will stand a chance to win a trip to Paris to watch the upcoming Olympic Games as grand prize. Set to run for two months until 30 April 2024, there are also monthly cashback prizes of RM2,500 to be won.

Note, however, that the grand prize (Paris trip) is open only to selected HSBC credit cardholders, whereas the RM2,500 monthly cashback prizes can be won by all HSBC Visa credit cardholders. To win them, you are required to first earn campaign entries by performing certain transactions and banking activities, which will then put you in the running for one of the following prizes:

Meanwhile, to earn entries for this campaign, you can go ahead and perform any of the following transactions or banking activities:

To clarify, eligible spend in this campaign refers to all local and overseas retail transactions (including online and QR Pay), as well as 0% instalment plans. It excludes transactions such as cash advances, auto-billings, and balance transfer instalments.

To determine the campaign winners, the bank will first select a pool of potential winners for the grand prize and monthly cashback prizes using a randomiser programme. Following that, the shortlisted individuals will receive an SMS from the bank within six to ten weeks after the end of the campaign period, where they are required to answer a question correctly. This must be done within three days after receiving the SMS; if you manage to do so, then you’ll be confirmed as the actual winner!

For grand prize winners, HSBC will notify you of your success within two weeks, as well as share details on how to collect your prizes (such as the authorised agents who will assist you during the process). Meanwhile, the monthly cashback prizes will be credited to your account.

If you’d like to join in this campaign, you’ll need to register your participation by sending an SMS (VS1<space>last six digits of your credit card) to 66300. Alternatively, you can respond to the invitation SMS that has been sent to you by the bank. Do note, too, that this Visa Olympic Games Paris 2024 campaign also overlaps with some of other HSBC’s ongoing campaigns, so some of you may have already been automatically enrolled.
