Maybank 0% Balance Transfer/-i Plan With No Upfront Fee
Author Avatar

Maybank and Maybank Islamic are offering principal credit cardholders a new Balance Transfer/-i plan with 0% interest for 12 months and no upfront fee. This campaign runs from 23 June 2025 until 31 March 2026. It is available to Maybank and Maybank Islamic credit cards issued in Malaysia, with transactions billed in Ringgit Malaysia.

Flexible Transfer Amounts

Customers can transfer outstanding balances from other credit cards to their Maybank credit card. The minimum transfer amount is RM1,000, while the maximum is RM50,000, subject to 90% of the available credit limit. The usual one-time upfront fee of 3% will be waived if the application is approved on or before 15 April 2026, and the campaign quota has not been exhausted.

Simple Application Process

To take advantage of the offer, customers must select the 12-month plan at 0% per annum. Applications can be submitted online using Maybank2u or the Maybank MAE app by logging in, selecting the relevant credit card, and authorising through Secure2U. Alternatively, customers can submit a Balance Transfer form at any Maybank branch or email it to the bank’s card services team.

Monthly Instalments and Early Settlement

Once approved, the monthly instalment amount will be calculated by dividing the transferred balance evenly over 12 months. Customers may make multiple Balance Transfer/-i applications during the campaign period if they have enough available credit. TreatsPoints will not be awarded for balances transferred under this plan. Early settlement is allowed without any penalty, although customers must pay all outstanding instalments immediately if they settle early.

Staying on Track with Payments

Maybank advises customers to pay each monthly instalment in full by the statement due date to avoid interest or management fees on any unpaid balances, according to the terms of their credit card agreement.

Does anyone know if the 8% SST that is charged on the usual Balance Transfer management fee will still be charged if we do a balance transfer under this campaign?
