UOB Bank is revising the cashback rates for the popular UOB ONE Card starting 1 January 2019. The changes will see the card’s benefits reduced during the weekdays, but its cashback rate on weekends will remain the same for next year.

Based on the revised terms and conditions available on UOB’s website (compared to the 2018 TnC), the changes in cashback will be as follows:

All other retail spend	0.2%	0.2%

In essence, this means that from Mondays to Fridays in 2019, the UOB ONE Card will give you 1% cash rebate for the petrol category and 0.2% cashback on all other retail spend. Fortunately, the weekend cashback rates for the UOB ONE Card remain the same in 2019.

The changes in cashback applies to both the UOB ONE Classic and UOB ONE Platinum credit cards. Despite the reduced weekday rebate rates, the UOB ONE Card is still one of the better cashback credit cards on the market – as long as you use it on the weekends.
