AmBank is revising its Signature Priority Banking Visa Infinite Credit Card-i to offer cashback benefits on retail purchases. Effective 1 August 2021, cardholders will earn cashback on retail spend instead of AmBonus Points.
“All your AmBonus Points and Lounge Access privileges will also be converted into Cashbacks, on top of other exclusive benefits that the card entails,” the bank said in a notice. Currently, the AmBank Signature Priority Banking Visa Infinite offers 5 points on every RM1 spent overseas and 1 point for local retail spend. The card also offered unlimited access to Plaza Premium Lounges both locally and internationally.
After the revision in August, cardholders will be earning cashback instead and the amount of cashback offered will be based on your monthly assets under management (AUM) with the bank, as well as the amount spent each month. Petrol, charity, and government-related transactions are not eligible for cashback.
This cashback structure is similar – but not identical to – the AmBank’s cashback campaign for the Signature Priority Banking Visa Infinite that began in 1 November 2020 and will run until 31 July 2021.
AmBank added that cardholders’ existing earned AmBonus Points are still valid until the next expiry date and that you can continue to redeem your points online. For more information on this latest revision to the card, you may connect with your Relationship Manager with any additional enquiries.
